The Pocket Dynamo, Graeme Dott won the championship, beating Peter Ebdon in the final 18-14, having been 15-7 up. Dott previously appeared in the 2004 World Championship, but suffered an 18-8 defecit at the hands of the Rocket, Ronnie O'Sullivan.
