These shoes had special features like a night reflector, and could make you jump 12% higher. Norm said he was going to try them out. He stretched a little bit and then sat at the bar and drank a beer.

Answer: No

Norm whited out the word "not" in the rejection letter to make it seem as if Cliff's joke was accepted. He wanted to cheer up Cliff.

Carla found an ad for a dish for $300. The only thing was that Sam would have to install it himself.

Other than that, the only things he read were hair magazines and books he thought were about sex.

They show the NBC sign right before the three of them go to their seats. NBC stands for National Broadcasting Company.

Answer: Yes

Norm convinced one of the men who worked for the show to use it in the monologue. Norm told him that Johnny Carson would definitely bomb with this joke.
