The episode began with a view of the casino floor when a guest approached Ed and Danny. They asked the guest if they could help him so the guest claimed that his room was contaminated. Danny said he would look at the room for him.

Danny went up to inspect the guest's room and the guest asked for a new room but to ensure that it was complimentary. Before Danny could respond to his request, a maid came out of a room and asked Danny to come look at something in the bathroom. When Danny went there, he noticed a spilled bottle of pills accompanied by a suicide note.

Ed was up in his office looking over the suicide note which Danny found and then he received a phone call. The person on the other end informed him that renowned singer Paul Anka was there and wished to speak to Ed. Ed was next seen going onto the casino floor where he bumped into Mr. Anka.

Delinda was down at Mystique where she was prepared for a busy night when Ed came over to her with a gentleman. Ed introduced the man to Delinda and said that his name was Kenny. According to Ed, Kenny was there to help Delinda out with Mystique operations that evening.

Danny managed to find the guest, Fred, who was planning to commit suicide atop a ledge at the Montecito. Danny urged Fred not to jump since there was a way out of his predicament but Fred said he would jump if Danny came any closer. Fred mentioned that he had been fired from his job and broke up with his girlfriend.

To help Fred out in his predicament, Nessa advised him to play some Blackjack and she showed him some tricks on how best to win at the game. Fred was seen winning big when Nessa approached him and said she was going home for the evening. Fred claimed that Nessa was his inspiration behind gambling away at Blackjack.

Midway through the episode, Sam was over at Mystique with a friend, Connor, as well as Connor's fiancée (portrayed by Paris Hilton). Connor's fiancée claimed that Sam seemed to spend more time with him than she did. However, Sam said that was unlikely to continue since Connor and she were now engaged.

There was a scene where Sam spoke with Mary until a guest came up to both of them and claimed that a security guard who escorted him to his room robbed him.
