Dave had to give up his job and wanted Sam to replace him. It was only supposed to be for the weekend. Dave told him it might turn out to be a permanent gig for him.

Dave was hitting on Rebecca relentlessly. Rebecca asked him if he had the time, when he said yes and gave the time she said "Good, 'cause I just wanted to remember the exact moment I met the biggest jerk on Earth."
