As the opening credits rolled, Eve was at the apartment with Peter drinking coffee when Peter started to discuss personal issues with her. He stated that he felt it would be best if she took some time away from Kyle's club since it would make Amanda less likely to use Eve to get business advantages. Peter then showed Eve some tickets he got for them to take a Hawaiian vacation.

Early on in the show, Michael went over to Lexi's place to talk business and she invited him inside. Michael's jaw dropped when he noticed the changes Lexi made to the place and stated to her how it looked like a brothel. Lexi and Michael then continued to chat while she poured herself a drink.

Amanda was at the office when Kyle stopped by to ask her how she was doing. Amanda stated that she was looking to cut costs and that included removing some people from the payroll. Kyle blasted Amanda for wanting to do this since Jane let her live at the beach house rent free. Kyle then informed Amanda that, if she laid off Jane from Amanda Woodward Advertising, he would be done with her.

Amanda was going to make a new commercial for a client but she had to decide who would be included in it. She then ended up choosing Eve in the end, which excited Eve. At dinner with Peter, Eve informed her husband about Amanda's decision so the two of them toasted to it as well as to their upcoming Hawaiian vacation.

Amanda made an announcement to many people at Amanda Woodward Advertising that many people would be let go since she had to downsize. One of the persons who got a lay off notice was Jane. When Jane got her things to leave the office, Amanda told her not to take it personally but Jane told her to get lost. Later on that evening, Amanda and Jane continued to spar over Jane's release from Amanda Woodward Advertising.

Midway through the show, Kyle woke up so Amanda told him that they were moving out since they could not stay with Jane. Kyle then realized that Amanda laid off Jane from the agency so he blasted her. Amanda advised him that it was a dumb move for him to try and run her business but he insisted that he wanted her to act like a human being. Amanda then walked outside to go to work so she got into her car. Kyle picked up a rock and lobbed it at her car, breaking the back window.
