Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What was the name of the facility Beavis and Butt-head were at in this episode?

Answer: Fort Sawyer

The episode took place at a military barracks where a class got to learn about the duties the military went through every day. Beavis and Butt-head were around and of course created mischief as was typical of both young men. A sign was seen near the beginning of the episode with the name: Fort Sawyer.
2. Buzzcut took the students to the military place.

Answer: False

Despite Buzzcut's lengthy military service, he was not on hand to provide the students a thorough perspective on daily life at Fort Sawyer. Instead, Mr. Van Driessen showed all the kids around so they got an idea on what soldiers dealt with regularly. There were a few instances when Mr. Van Driessen paid homage to his hippy roots by proclaiming peaceful overtones.
3. What military slogan did the instructor bring up?

Answer: Be All That You Can Be

Mr. Van Driessen spoke of the carefully meticulous propaganda the military shoved down people's throats in his introductory statements at Fort Sawyer. He mentioned the fact that Fort Sawyer was where people could "be all they could be". This signified one of the U.S. Army's popular sayings that drew people into active service.
4. Beavis and Butt-head noticed that not everyone from class was there. According to their instructor, which business did they visit?

Answer: Hewlett-Packard

The duo looked around and noticed how small the group was that day so therefore they inquired on where everyone else was. Mr. Van Driessen mentioned how the guidance counselor evaluated the students prior to the field trip. That counselor believed a Fort Sawyer visit would be futile so they went to Hewlett-Packard that day instead of Fort Sawyer.
5. Who helped guide the class at the military base?

Answer: Sergeant Decker

After Mr. Van Driessen answered the boys' question on the absentee class members, he introduced them to Sergeant Decker. He would help guide the kids around the base in hopes they would select the Army as a future occupation. Mr. Van Driessen mentioned how the Army that day was no longer a killing machine.
6. The instructor also had the students over at the military headquarters to show them potential career options.

Answer: True

Mr. Van Driessen mentioned his being on the field trip in protest and went on to explain another objective in visiting Fort Sawyer. He brought up how several students wished for military lives. Therefore, he felt a visit to Fort Sawyer would not only answer their questions but perhaps dissuade them from enlisting upon completing school.
7. Which war did the instructor bring up?

Answer: Vietnam War

Mr. Van Driessen gave another little speech about the Army and the conventional wisdom they were a killing operatus. He then stated how this view prevailed since the Vietnam War but insisted that was not the case. According to him, the Army now sought peace keeping missions bent on winning over hearts and minds.
8. What was the first weapon mentioned by the guide at the facility?

Answer: Bayonette

Sergeant Decker interjected to inform Mr. Van Driessen how the Army's main objective actually was to kill, that being the enemy. Mr. Van Driessen thought he meant kill with kindness whereas yet again Sgt. Decker opposed. He cited the fact how the Army's trained to utilize anything, from bayonets to missiles and such, to eradicate their foes.
9. Beavis and Butt-head entered the room specializing in drone attacks. What animal did they use the drones on first?

Answer: Sheep

Two military officials left the drone room unmanned after going to a break room for celebrating a co-worker's birthday. Beavis and Butt-head wrongfully assumed the place was a restroom, one Beavis requested for earlier, so they entered the unlocked place. Both boys thought the video screens equated to their being video games. Beavis took the stick and flew a drone into a man's sheep.
10. Where did the final drone strike?

Answer: The military facility

Beavis and Butt-head fiddled around with the drones for a little while by crashing them into various places. The final one ended up actually hitting right outside Fort Sawyer, nearly killing military officials. The two men that departed the room without securing it were penalized by their superior.
