While Julia Barr is the best known actress to portray Brooke on "AMC", she did not originate the role. Elissa Leads, born on April 12th, 1959 in New York City, originated the role in 1976 but only appeared as Brooke for a short while since Barr was recast in the role that same year. Leads has guest starred on the TV series', "CHiPs", "Charlie's Angels", and "One Day at a Time."

Hall, born on October 18th, 1948 in Atlanta, Georgia filled in for Julia Barr while Barr toured with Katharine Hepburn and Dorothy Loudon. Barr returned to the role in 1982 so Hall portrayed Brooke for about a year. Hall guest starred on the TV shows, "Perfect Strangers", "Webster", and "What's Up Doc." She passed away on September 29th, 2007 in Chatsworth, Georgia.

Edmund had planned out his will in the case of his death and he did, indeed, die in February of 2005. In his will, he named Brooke as the executor of his will and he left all of his property to Sam and Maddie and left his wife, Maria, with nothing. Edmund did this due to his belief that Maria cheated on him with Zach Slater.

Janet Green returned to town, in November of 2005, and committed many acts of revenge against those she felt tormented Amanda. One of her crimes was when she kidnapped Brooke, Krystal, Joe, Adam, and Opal and placed them in a moving van. She dumped the van in quicksand and all of them nearly drowned in quicksand.

However, they were saved and Janet was caught shortly after this and sent to Oakhaven.

Answer: Sing Sing

Brooke refused to reveal a source, from an article she had written, so she was arrested and did a short stint in prison. "AMC" got permission from Sing Sing, a prison located near their New York City studio, to film scenes of Brooke's stay in prison. This was the first time in which a soap opera got to film inside a prison.

One of the most popular "AMC" feuds amongst fans was that between Brooke and Erica. Their main reason for fighting was due to how Erica hated that Brooke got her leftover men (amongst the husbands both have married are Adam Chandler and Tom Cudahy). In one scene, in the mid 1980s, Brooke discussed Erica's stint as editor of Tempo magazine and how Erica was incompetent for the job.

This was when Brooke said that Erica was an "ex model who could barely sign her own name." This scene can be seen on the video, "All About Erica", which ABC released in 1994.

Jack and Brooke were in a car, one night, and Jack drove. Brooke noticed someone swerving and alerted Jack to watch out. The driver of the other car was Arlene Vaughn, who was revealed to have been driving under the influence, and she was arrested. There was much concern for Brooke since she was pregnant at the time with her son, Jamie. Thankfully, Jamie was not harmed.

The show filmed these scenes at the Disney-MGM Studios (now known as Hollywood Studios) at Disney World.

Julia Barr was dismissed from the show, in December of 2006, after ABC refused to offer her a new contract and they asked Barr if she would like to go on recurring status. Barr refused their proposal so she left the show. Brooke was last seen at the funeral of Erin Lavery and Simone Torres, who had been killed by the Satin Slayer.

Many "AMC" fans were furious that Brooke had not been given a sendoff and a proper exit and found it disrespectful towards a nearly 30 year veteran of the show.

Brooke had gotten on an airplane about a month after the plane crash that supposedly left Maria Santos Grey dead (Maria turned up alive five years later). Brooke started to get flashbacks towards the crash and screamed that the plane would crash. She attempted to get off the plane but the door had already been closed.

The flight attendant told the pilot about the outburst and she called the police. Derek arrived and asked Brooke to come with him to undergo a psychiatric evaluation.

Brooke got romantically involved with Mark Dalton, in the mid 1980s, and Mark got entangled with the mob. They both ended up kidnapped by them and worked to escape. They did and managed to get away from the mob without any serious injury.
