Braun, born on April 18th, 1971 in Evanston, Illinois, originated the role of Reese Williams on "AMC" in October of 2008. Prior to her run on "AMC", she appeared as Carly Corinthos on the ABC soap opera, "General Hospital", and as Ava Vitali on the NBC soap opera "Days of our Lives." She also appeared in an episode of "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation." In 2009, Braun won a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her role of Ava Vitali on "Days of our Lives." Other Daytime Emmy nominees for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series, that year, were Melissa Claire Egan of "All My Children", Alicia Minshew of "All My Children", Julie Pinson of "As The World Turns", and Bree Williamson of "One Life to Live."
