Answer: August of 1942

When Easy was officially formed at Camp Toccoa in Georgia, they were not yet attached to the 101st Airborne Screaming Eagles.
2. Who was the first X.O. of Easy Company?

Answer: Lt. Clarence Hester

Herbert Sobel was the original C.O., or commanding officer. As X.O., Hester was Sobel's right-hand man.
3. What is the name of the mountain the men had to run up and down constantly?

Answer: Currahee

Currahee means "we stand alone" in Indian. Alas the 506th's motto.
4. In the first episode of the series, who does Sobel yell at for drinking water during a march?

Answer: Pvt. Burt "Pat" Christenson

Christenson ended up being one of the only Toccoa men to make it all the way through the war.
5. Where did Easy reside prior to the D-Day jump?

Answer: Aldbourne, England

Many of the men returned to Aldbourne after the war. Dick Winters stayed in contact with his host family until their deaths in the late 1960s.

When Smokey returned from the hospital, he and Rogers wrote the poem (which was lost). At the end of the reciting of it, Gordon gave one of his three Purple Hearts earned to Talbert, who was not eligible for his own Purple Heart because he was not wounded by the enemy.

Answer: Sergeant Skip Muck and Private Alex Penkala

Muck and Penkala, who grew up together in Tonawanda, New York, received a direct hit by a German shell on January 9th, 1945.
9. Who was the soldier who translated for Major Winters when they liberated the Landsberg Concentration Camp in Germany?

Answer: Corporal Joe Liebgott

Liebgott had trouble telling his fellow Jews that they were not allowed to eat anything because it could kill them. Private David Webster also knew German, but it was Liebgott who Major Winters thought of when he was in need of a translator.
10. Here's the hard one: Which member of Easy Company went on to prosecute Sirhan Sirhan for the murder of Robert Kennedy?

Answer: Lt. Lynn "Buck" Compton

Compton, who played baseball and football for UCLA before joining the army, went on to be part of the LAPD and eventually a prosecutor for Los Angeles County.
