Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What is Red Arrow's real name, or his "secret identity" if you will?

Answer: Roy Harper

Red Arrow's real name is Roy Harper. He is the former partner to Green Arrow and worked in Star City. Jim Harper is Roy's uncle.
2. Red Arrow has always gone by Red Arrow.

Answer: False

Before he became Red Arrow, Roy went by the name Speedy. He got the name because of the way he was able to launch his arrows very quickly.
3. At the end of season one, Red Arrow is found to be the mole. How was he giving information to the Light?

Answer: He was a clone and the Light was using a trigger phrase to get the information.

The Red Arrow Roy was revealed to be a clone of the real Roy Harper. At the very end of "Auld Acquaintance", we saw that the real Roy was frozen in the cryogenics chamber of CADMUS labs.
4. Red Arrow did not join the Team at any point in the series.

Answer: False

Roy did join the Team in the episode "Insecurity".

Red Arrow's full history with the Team is somewhat rocky. In the first episode, "Independence Day", he, in fact, stormed out of the Hall of Justice when he realized that was all they were going to see. He also let slip that there was a Watchtower up in space.

He reappeared in "Welcome to Happy Harbor", when he was fighting Brick. Aqualad, Robin, and Kid Flash show up to help and try to convince Roy to join. He did not accept.

Later in the series, however, he not only helped the Team when they needed it, he also called them in for backup a couple times. Then, in "Insecurity", he joined after Green Arrow urged him to, in order to help secure a position in the Justice League. Green Arrow's reasoning was that Roy could set a good example by doing so.
5. In "Infiltrator", Red Arrow threatens which member of the Team?

Answer: Artemis

At the very end of the episode, Roy threatened Artemis in Gotham City because he knew that, despite her claims, she was not truly Green Arrow's niece. He warned her not to hurt any of his friends, showing that despite his distance from the Team, he counted them among people he could trust.
6. In "Targets", we got to see Red Arrow wearing a suit. He was working covert security for a peace conference between which two countries?

Answer: North and South Rhelasia

The two countries of Rhelasia were formerly one country. Red Arrow was in disguise to keep an eye on things, and it's a good thing he was there. Cheshire was in disguise until the arbitrator, Lex Luthor, arrived, and she pulled out a rocket launcher in order to stop Luthor from helping to try to reunite the countries.
7. Red Arrow was invited to join the Justice League, and he did not accept.

Answer: False

In "Agendas", the League was voting on who to bring into the League, and Green Arrow nominateed his former protégé. Aquaman, however, pointed out that Roy was disrespectful.

In the end, however, "Usual Suspects" showed that Roy was accepted into the League, and he joined. We later found out that, as a clone, he was programmed to try and infiltrate the Justice League.
8. When Red Arrow helped Robin, Artemis, M'gann, and Superboy infiltrate Haly's Circus in "Performance", he played which Daring Danger?

Answer: Dane

Roy played Dane Danger, one of the archers. In the beginning, he and Artemis launched arrows that left trails of silver sparkles while Robin and M'gann darted between them as part of the acrobatic performance.

Incidentally, all the names except for Derrick were used in the act. Robin was Dan Danger, an acrobat, and Superboy was Dean Danger, the strongman. The other two were Dawn and Diane, Miss Martian and Artemis respectively.
9. In "Performance", which of the other four did Red Arrow NOT suspect as being the mole?

Answer: Robin

Robin was the only one of the four that Roy didn't think was the mole. Roy's reasoning was that Artemis and Miss Martian had already been known to lie, and that Superboy might be programmed without knowing it. He was, in fact, correct about Superboy, but he didn't know it. Artemis then parroted Robin's last line before he stormed out back at Roy: "Try to keep an open mind."
10. In "Insecurity", who flirted with Red Arrow during the mission?

Answer: Cheshire

Cheshire flirted with Roy as they fought. She later ended up having a child with him named Lian.
11. Which Louisiana city were Red Arrow, Aqualad, Artemis and Kid Flash nearest in the episode "Insecurity"?

Answer: New Orleans

Aqualad, Red Arrow, Kid Flash and Artemis took M'gann's bioship to New Orleans, and ended up out in the bayou after Sportsmaster. Cheshire was also there, making it a bit of a family reunion for Artemis.
12. In "Usual Suspects", we saw Red Arrow plant little nanomachines, the mind-control devices, to which Justice Leaguer's neck?

Answer: Batman

While all four did eventually have the nanomachines on them, Batman was the last one and the only one we saw Roy do this to. Batman then allowed Vandal Savage into the Watchtower, and Roy realized he had been the mole all along.
13. What was the trigger phrase that shut clone Red Arrow down?

Answer: Broken Arrow

The phrase of "Broken Arrow" shut Red Arrow down, allowing the Light to implant new orders. One of the known uses of the phrase was in "Targets", as revealed by a flashback in "Auld Acquaintance". His programming ended when he got the League under Vandal Savage's control.
14. How many people came to try and talk Red Arrow into giving up the search for Roy in "Salvage"?

Answer: Five

The five were Jim Harper, formerly Guardian; Wally West, formerly Kid Flash; Dick Grayson, formerly Robin and then Nightwing; Oliver Queen, Green Arrow; and Dinah Lance, Black Canary. They cornered him on a rooftop and gave him many reasons to give up, including never knowing the real Roy, the real Roy probably being dead (as provided by Jim, a clone himself), and that Red Arrow wasn't taking care of himself.

Cheshire then came in, but instead of trying to make him give up the search, she found a way to give him one last chance.
15. What is Red Arrow's daughter's name?

Answer: Lian

Lian is Roy's daughter with Cheshire, aka Jade Nguyen. The two had been married until Roy's obsession with finding the real Roy destroyed their marriage. Jade pulls all her contacts in order to get him one last chance to find the original before she makes Roy stop to help raise their daughter.
