"Charmed" Fourth Season: Part One Quiz

Paige is working at the social services; one day, a newspaper with an obituary about Prue's death magically appears at her desk. She decides to go to Prue's funeral; when she approaches Phoebe to make condolences to her, Phoebe gets a premonition about Paige's being killed by Shax. Later the Halliwells find out that Paige is their half-sister, fruit of their mother's relationship with her whitelighter. Paige helps them to restore the power of three and together they vanquish the demon.

Inspector Cortez suspected the Charmed Ones of being evil witches: he held them responsible for a series of unexplained murders. So he decided to place their house under constant surveillance and got a warrant to search their house. When he broke into the attic, the Charmed Ones were in the middle of a seance, talking to Grams and their mother. Phoebe cast a spell on him, sending him to Timbuktu, because it rhymed with "undo". Cole found him there and put in hell, from where he was rescued by Leo. Cortez stopped persecuting sisters when Leo healed his wound inflicted by a demon.

Answer: Piper

Piper was angry with Prue for having died and abandoned them, and that's what made her susceptible to become one of the Furies - mythological creatures who kill bad people by making them relive their crimes. But until her first kill, she still could be rescued. And Paige had a brilliant idea to bring her to cemetery, and it was in front of Prue's tomb where she could vent out her pain - thanks to it she became human again.

Answer: "A Knight to Remember"

Piper and Phoebe were missing Prue, but decided to ask Paige to move in with them, so she could help them to fight off demons. And lots of demons were attacking them at the time, trying to impress The Source. The demon they were dealing with in that episode was the Shocker, an personification of the electric current.

At the beginning Paige was reluctant to move, but in the end accepted the offer, and they vanquished the Shocker thanks to the power of three.

Answer: An evil enchantress

Paige was an evil enchantress, who made a knight love her. She wanted him to give her a child, who would make the dark magic prevail in the world for all times. When Paige recited the love-binding spell found in the "Book of Shadows", the knight came after her, soon to be followed by the evil enchantress herself.

The dark sorceress managed to fight off the Charmed Ones and brought the knight back with her. Piper and Phoebe went through a time portal after her and became trapped in the Middle Ages.

But Paige found them there, and together they managed to strip the evil enchantress off her powers.

Answer: Piper

Piper was the one who always dreamt of leading a normal life, without having to vanquish the demons. The Source brought her to the underworld with him, where he created an illusion in her mind. In this illusion the Manor was turned into a mental hospital and Piper was one of the patients. The Source, posing as a doctor, tried to make her say the spell that would strip the Charmed Ones off their powers. But Phoebe, Paige and Leo managed to get into her mind and prevented her from saying that spell.

Answer: Sykes

Sykes was posing as an assistant district attorney, just as Cole had done. He was killing witches, but his ultimate goal was to get to Belthazor, and the best way do to it was through Phoebe. Cole, in order to overpower the demon, had to fully embrace his demonic self. Fortunately, when he turned into Belthazor, Phoebe hit him with a potion that stripped him off his supernatural powers: he became a human being.

Answer: Melody

Melody, who was the source of inspiration for the Charmed Ones throughout their lives, was one of the Muses that the evil warlock Devlin imprisoned in the inspiration ring, so that also the evil could get an inspiration from them. His goal was to overthrow The Source and rule the underworld.

He gathered his faction during the theme party at Piper's P3 club. He impersonated Melody, but Charmed Ones vanquished him with a spell and freed the Muses.

Answer: Glen

Glen is Paige's best friend and she invites him to stay at the Manor. There he overhears the sisters' conversations, discovers some potions' ingredients and gets a glimpse at the "Book of Shadows". When he confronts Paige with it, she admits to being a witch. Piper is furious with her, because keeping their secret is the most important thing. At the top of it all, Glen gets kidnapped by a rat demon. But Paige manages to rescue him, and Glen moves out of the Manor.

Answer: Phoebe

Phoebe, as a member of the jury, saved an innocent man who was accused of murder. He had led the police to the body of his wife using his power of premonition, but everybody thought he was a fraud and that he knew the location of the body only because he was the actual killer. Phoebe proved that he didn't commit the crime by summoning - with the help of her sisters - the spirit of his deceased spouse: it made the jurors believe that magic really existed.

The man was acquitted.
