Before the role was popularized by Mary Beth Evans, the character of Kayla Brady was originally played by Katherine Mary Stewart, who left "Days" to star in such films as "The Last Starfighter" and "Night Of The Comet".

Blondie's was renamed by Neil Curtis for his lady-love after he purchased Doug's Place on the Lake from Doug Williams.

Sami Brady not only received her first name in honor of Marlena's sister Samantha. She was given the middle name Gene in honor of Eugene Bradford.
