Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. When Michael breaks up with Pamela's mother, Helene, he agrees that Pam is allowed to take revenge on him by punching him in the carpark. Does she go through with it?

Answer: Yes, but she slaps him instead

Pam gets boxing tips from Toby and is all prepared, before she backs out at the last second. When Michael then pipes in with another remark, she turns and slaps him instead.
2. What does Michael do in an attempt to distract staff from the rumour about Dunder Mifflin's financial problems?

Answer: Starts a murder mystery game

A "Wall Street Journal" article (which Michael is the last to know about) suggests that the company's future is looking very grim. Michael reacts by going straight to his games cupboard and pulling out the game "Belles, Bourbon and Bullets", which actually does seem to have its desired effect in distracting most of the office staff.
3. Who announces a 45-day plan to save Dunder Mifflin at a shareholder meeting?

Answer: Michael

Michael speaks out of turn in a reaction to the hostile crowd of shareholders, and promises to turn the company around. He tries to get Oscar to help him out with the newly created plan, but Oscar refuses, clearly knowing how futile the situation is.
4. What kind of vehicle do Michael, Oscar, Andy and Dwight take to the shareholder meeting?

Answer: Limousine

A limousine arrives to pick up Michael, and in his excitement he asks Oscar, Andy and Dwight along. Michael's job is simply to sit in front of the crowd and wave as a representative of the best-performing branch, but he fails badly at that when he decides to address the crowd.
5. When Michael breaks his 10-year-old promise to a class of students to pay all their college fees, he offers to give them all a laptop instead.

Answer: False

Michael finally faces the music and visits "Scott's Tots", a class of underprivileged kids who he made this promise to long ago, assuming he would be a millionaire by now. He actually offers them each a laptop battery, which only some of the kids take. In the end he agrees to pay for one of the student's books, salvaging some small respect from the situation.
6. Who finally gets her wish to dress up as Santa?

Answer: Phyllis

Phyllis is told by Jim that she can be Santa at the Christmas party. This annoys Michael, who belittles her by firstly dressing as Santa himself, then later as Jesus.
7. In the episode "The Banker", Michael introduces several new items to the office to impress a prospective buyer, including an apparent talking machine called what?

Answer: Computron

Computron is obviously just Dwight providing the voice (apparently with the help of some sort of search engine). Michael also rides a Segway around the office in an attempt to impress the man, who seems more confused than anything and really only wants to get some information from HR.

This episode is largely a clip show, and is the first of the entire series where Jim says no (new) lines.
8. Which company buys out Dunder Mifflin in the episode of the same name?

Answer: Sabre

A new staff member, Gabe, arrives to make the merger complete. Michael is very upset by the changes being brought in (including blocking time-wasting internet site access) and goes to David Wallace to complain.
9. When Michael drops in on David Wallace, he finds out that David is working on a new idea to help kids clean up after themselves. What is his name for the invention?

Answer: "Suck it"

Michael is shocked that David is living such a slow and indulgent life after being stood down as Dunder Mifflin CFO. But later in the series we find out that "Suck It", a vacuum that sucks toys, is a huge success, being bought by the US Military for $20 million.
10. In the episode "Manager and Salesman", Michael and Jim argue about who should be manager and who should go back to a sales job. At the end of the episode, Michael returns to his job as sole manager of the Scranton Branch.

Answer: True

Indeed, order is restored, with the new Sabre boss, Jo, insisting they only need one manager. When Michael finds out that salesmen can earn more than managers due to new commission rules, he is keen to return to the old sales job. But he can't handle being out of the office for even a day, and agrees to return to manage and Jim goes back to sales.
