Episode 171: "Final Approach" Part 1 Quiz

Answer: lease for the lunch counter

Joe has just come from a meeting with airport administration, who awarded him a NFTY (Nevers Field Tenant of the Year) award. He also brings a lease renewal for Helen to sign. Helen can't believe the three-year lease she signed is up on Monday. She doesn't know if she wants to sign, and tells Joe she might be somewhere else doing something else in three years.

When Joe asks "Like what?", Helen signs the lease.

Answer: he made a music room

Joe knew Helen was depressed about signing the lease, so he had her cello cleaned and restrung, and made a music room in the attic for her. Helen's not too happy to see the cello, because it has always made her believe she could have a career in music, but it would always pull the rug out from under her. Once she begins playing, Helen begins enjoying her music again. Casey comes by and Helen tells her that she saw a notice about open auditions with the New England Chamber Ensemble when she was picking up some sheet music.

Helen says she's going to go for it.

Answer: clipping his toenails

Brian can't believe that Joe called him to pick up some of his things which were in Joe's attic. He says he was perfectly happy clipping his toenails, watching them fly all over the place and trying to guess where they'd land.

Answer: a key

Joe tells Brian if he doesn't take the suitcase he'll throw it out. Brian says go ahead, but Joe asks how they can throw out what their father left them. They look in the suitcase, and in the torn lining Brian finds $1000. There's also a note which reads, "There's a lot more where this came from", a key and a claim check for a pawn shop in Boston.

Answer: Boston

Brian and Joe fly to Boston, get another suitcase with the claim check for the pawnshop, and find...a bunch of newspapers. While they're sitting despondently on the sidewalk, a passerby drops a coin in their open suitcase. Joe finds a piece of paper among the newspapers, which has some sort of a map on it.

Answer: Faye

Upon returning to Nantucket, a suspicious Faye confronts Joe and Brian. She tells them she hid their car keys, and demands to know what's going on and why they went to Boston. They tell her, and she wants to join their search.

Answer: taxi

Faye can't find Joe and Brian's keys, so she, Joe and Brian pile into Antonio's taxi and ask to be taken to Surfside Beach. When Antonio questions the three of them going together, Brian tells him it's a company picnic. Antonio is suspicious about the shovel, and gets a little nervous.

Answer: Casey, Antonio and Faye

After flying to New York and visiting Penn Station, Joe, Brian, Casey, Antonio and Faye find another clue in the base of a utility pole, then fly to Boston. In Boston they go to a bank, then fly to Providence. Antonio is lowered down a manhole, and comes up with a piece of paper and a key.

They then retrieve the trunk from a building where Casey has to rescue Antonio from the revolving door. On the flight back to Nantucket, everyone takes a shot at opening the trunk.

Answer: keys

Roy, who has now joined the crowd, stands by while Faye uses a blowtorch to get into the trunk. Discouraged after finding nothing but lots of keys in the trunk, Brian and Joe walk back into the terminal. Helen arrives back from her audition, which didn't go well.

Answer: in a locker at Nevers Field

Faye comes into the terminal, and tells Joe and Brian that she recognizes one of the keys as belonging to the lockers upstairs. They run upstairs, open the locker, and find another suitcase, this one actually full of money.
