Answer: The food chain

The opening of this episode showed a dragonfly getting eaten by a frog, which was soon eaten by a snake, only to be carried off by a hawk. This was merely foreshadowing the brutal themes that would be present in this episode.

Answer: He was not given the signal

Terrorsaur was in charge, but Inferno decided to attack without waiting for the signal. Terrorsaur jumped in to help, but was blasted back to Waspinator. When he asked why Waspinator wasn't attacking, Waspinator responded simply that he hadn't been given the signal. Terrorsaur promptly gave it.

Answer: White Tiger

Snowstalker was the white tiger that was present when Tigatron landed on Earth, providing Tigatron with his beast mode. Conveniently, the animators did not have to create a new model for Snowstalker.

Answer: Tigatron

Waspinator and Terrorsaur had been taken out of the fight, which only left Inferno. Tigatron sent many blasts towards the fire ant, but the last one missed and hit the mountain in the distance. Tigatron was horrified by what he had done, and immediately ceased fighting.

Answer: Snowstalker had died

This was the first actual death in the Beast Wars, making this episode the darkest so far. Snowstalker's body was not shown, but Tigatron's grieving reaction was. Tigatron buried his friend under a mound of rocks.

Answer: No

Waspinator agreed with Inferno, knowing Megatron did not like failure. Terrorsaur also noted that Megatron had been a bit testy recently. The three fliers decided to try capturing the Maximals again before returning to the base.

By not talking to Megatron, not as many voice actors needed to be called in for the episode.

Answer: A gazelle being chased by a tiger

Tigatron and Dinobot watched as a gazelle was chased by a tiger. Tigatron argued that it was different, with the tiger only hunting to survive. Dinobot saw the Beast Wars as a fight for survival, equivocating the two.

The tiger was the same model as Tigatron's beast mode (and Snowstalker), but with the white replaced with orange.

Answer: Optimus Primal

The leader of the Maximals was sad to see Tigatron leave, but more respectful of the decision. Dinobot was furious, and stalked off. Optimus talked for a while, but heard Dinobot come under attack again. Optimus flew off to go help, and Tigatron had to make a decision to either go and help the Maximals, or turn away for good.

Answer: Set a plant on fire

Seeing the plant on fire, Tigatron became enraged and blasted Inferno multiple times, just like their last fight. The difference this time was he made sure every shot connected. Tigatron put out the fire, but was dismayed by the senseless destruction and loss of life.

Answer: No

Tigatron reversed his decision to leave the Beast Wars, deciding he would be able to better protect the innocents of the Earth by working with the Maximals. He still asked for some time alone to grieve for his friend, and to not fight, which Optimus granted.
