"Farscape," "Picture If You Will" Quiz

Answer: Chiana-D'Argo-John-Zhaan

Chiana is the first to get a premonition of her death by her new picture that magically changes, followed by D'Argo. At this point Zhaan seems to give in to despair when John's death is predicted by the picture and she helps it along, as well as her own demise. Rygel lucks out and doesn't die, but gets to play sidekick to Aeryn as they go after the person who sold Chiana the picture.

Answer: The Twilight Zone

Rod Serling hosted the popular show "The Twilight Zone" and is associated with starting each episode off with "Picture if you will...." Maldis says this line as well in this episode.

Answer: Fire

Chiana sees herself burning alive in the picture after she's convinced that it predicts the future. Suddenly feeling hot and afraid she's going to burn, she hides in the freezer. Unfortunately, a malfunction locks her inside and some wiring causes a fire, burning her alive.

Answer: Stabbed

D'Argo pushes John out of harms way when Moya shifts and D'Argo loses his balance, impaling himself onto the tip of Aeryn's Prowler. This time, however, something odd happens. D'Argo breaks like a piece of glass and vanishes.

Answer: Magical Mystery Tour

When everything starts getting weird, John tells Zhaan, "C'mon...Zhaan...this magical mystery crap is your specialty, not mine. Just tell me what to do, and I'll do it." One of the rare moments when John leaves it to someone else to save everyone's butts.

Answer: The Sound of Music

Maldis tells John, "Fear makes me stronger. Fear and the terror of helplessness. These are a few of my favorite things." John quips, "Oh, could you do that 'Farewell, Good-bye' song the kids sing? It's one of my favorites." They are both referring to "The Sound of Music," which has the songs 'My Favorite Things' and 'Farewell, Good-bye.' Too bad Maldis doesn't do requests.

Answer: Love for expensive things

Rygel wants to return to Kyvan and get restitution for Chiana's death. He tells Aeryn, "She was quite a lot like me, you know. She had spirit, ambition, large appetites! She would have made an excellent Hynerian. I'm actually going to miss her." A rare moment of sensitivity from Rygel... sort of.

Answer: The Price is Right

"Deal or No Deal" wasn't even on the air when "Farscape" was. But at one point, John yells for Maldis, saying, "Maldis! Come on down!" This refers to "The Price is Right" when the announcer would yell for the contestants to "Come on down" to play the game.

Answer: Necklace

Chiana had lost her favorite necklace a half a cycle ago, when the picture on the commerce ship shows Chiana wearing it again. As soon as she returns to Moya, a DRD pops up with her necklace.

Answer: Maldis has left the building

John's full quote is, "'Sure John! He's toast, strike him off your Christmas list, stick a fork in him, he's done, he's over, the fat lady is singing'. It does not have to be true, Zhaan, but I certainly would have slept better." John can sleep, Maldis never returns for the rest of the series.
