Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. The first episode that we see Dr. Lilith Sternin is in "The Second Time Around." Frasier brings Lilith to Cheers in an attempt to get her into a physical relationship. Frasier orders a beer for himself. What does Lilith order?

Answer: white wine

After they order, Sam says, "A beer Woody, and a white wine for the charming lady." Lilith responds with a rather psychological insult. Lilith turns down Frasier offer of physical relations and ends up breaking up with him. Lilith's appearance in this episode is very brief, but it set the groundwork for their future relationship.
2. The first time we see any form of romance between Frasier and Lilith is in the episode "Abnormal Psychology." At the end of the episode, Lilith kisses Frasier and the two go off to Frasier's town house for a romantic evening together. What does Lilith do to unexpectedly win Frasier's interest?

Answer: wears her hair down

Lilith typically wears her hair in a tight bun, but for a television debate, Diane convinces her to wear her hair down. This gains Frasier's interest (as Diane expected it would), and he persuades her to join him at his place for a romantic evening. Diane and Sam help push Frasier and Lilith together, and at the end of the episode, Sam and Diane actually go to a concert together, although Sam did it at Carla's insistence.
3. The next step in the Sternin-Crane relationship is when Frasier and Lilith move in together. They invite Diane and Sam to their house for dinner. Lilith and Frasier select a word that, when said during the evening, will make them both think of their passion for each other. What is the secret word?

Answer: dip

The night ended in a rather humorous disaster as both couples bring up aspects of their past that their respective partners didn't know about. At the end of the night, both Diane and Lilith lock themselves in the bathroom after they find out things their men have kept secret from them. Frasier, who has had quite enough of the girls' complaints, jams the door to prevent them from getting out, and he and Sam go upstairs to watch television.
4. Frasier and Lilith decide it's time to redecorate their apartment. They try to do it themselves but find out they have no flair for design, so they hire someone from Cheers to decorate for them. Which Cheers regular redecorates their home?

Answer: Norm

They originally decide to let Norm do the painting, but when Norm moves a chair to get to a spot on the wall, the couple likes the arrangement. Frasier and Lilith try to recruit him to design their home after the first designer they hired turned out to be rather arrogant and self-centered. Norm is hesitant and declines at first, but with a little persuasion, he accepts the job.
5. In the episode called "The Crane Mutiny," Frasier laments that, though he has a steady relationship in Lilith, most women are interested in him more for his mind than anything else. Norm and Cliff lead Frasier to believe that Rebecca has a thing for him. Does Frasier pursue Rebecca?

Answer: Yes

He actually does write a letter to Lilith to say they should go their separate ways. He tries to pursue Rebecca and realizes that he has been set up. He tries to go home and salvage his relationship with Lilith. Unfortunately, she has already read his letter.

They talk it through, and Lilith goes to Cheers to confront Rebecca. Then she finds out that Frasier was telling the truth about not having an affair with Rebecca. In the end, they make up and Frasier proposes to Lilith and she accepts.
6. When Lilith becomes pregnant, both she and Frasier become enamored with the pregnancy and becoming parents. They want to give up their materialistic lives and live in the wilderness. What does Frasier attempt to do the majority of the time in their cabin?

Answer: build a fire

The expectant couple actually planned to go into the woods on their own and attempt to survive. Sam convinces them to try to live in a cabin first, then, if that was successful, they could then move on to living outdoors. They agree, and Sam loans them his cabin.

While at the cabin, Frasier is incapable of making a fire to keep Lilith and the baby warm. After a long struggle and a dip in temperature, both of them realize they aren't cut out for the woods and return to Boston.
7. The episode "Severe Crane Damage" involves a discussion of Lilith's new book. The introduction to the episode begins with Norm tapping a pencil at the end of the bar and soon the whole bar erupts into their own rendition of a Queen song. Which song do the folks at Cheers start?

Answer: We Will Rock You

The show starts with Norm Peterson tapping his pencil at the end of the bar in the style that the song is famous for. Then slowly, the rest of the bar joins in until they all are singing "We Will Rock You." This then fades out to the "Cheers" theme song.
8. After the birth of their son Frederick, Lilith insists to raise him in the Jewish faith, as she was. She convinces Frasier to allow Frederick to be circumcised in a Jewish ceremony. What is this ceremony known as?

Answer: bris

Frasier and all the guys at Cheers are very squeamish about the circumcision aspect of the bris. Frasier is against the circumcision so much that he actually kidnaps his own son and hides from Lilith. Eventually Lilith convinces Frasier to allow the ceremony.

In the end however, it is Lilith that needs comforting. Sam walks out holding Frederick in his arms and Frasier is right behind him holding Lilith in his arms. She was so disturbed about the snipping that she was in tears.
9. In the episode "Rat Girl," Lilith is in mourning over the loss of one of her pet lab rats. She and Frasier have a fight over the whole ordeal but eventually work it out. What was the rat's name?

Answer: Whitey

Lilith keeps Whitey in her purse as a reminder of what she lost. Frasier finds it crazy and throws Whitey away. Lilith is so angered that she throws Frasier out of the house. They work things out and learn a little more about how life should be cherished one day at a time.
10. In Lilith's final few appearances on "Cheers," she is informing Frasier that she is leaving him. She tries to come back to Frasier after leaving the man she had an affair with. Were Lilith and Frasier married at the end of "Cheers?"

Answer: Yes

Believe it or not, Frasier and Lilith were married at the end of the series. Most people believe that since they were divorced at the beginning of "Frasier," that they were divorced at the end of "Cheers." Frasier doesn't want to take Lilith back, but she starts sobbing and Frasier can't resist her.

However, as we see in the beginning of "Frasier," they eventually split before he moves to Seattle.
