Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which of the following characters lived alone by themselves in their apartment?

Answer: Ross and Robert

Ross lived alone in his apartment until Rachel moved in with him so they could both participate in taking care of the pregnancy.
After having lived with his parents for 40 years, Robert finally moved into his own apartment until his marriage with Amy, when he moved in with her.
2. Which characters were known to be excellent cooks?

Answer: Monica and Marie

Monica was a chef at the restaurant "Javu" and even though she got a bad review once, the prestige of the restaurant completely made up for it.
Marie wasn't a chef by occupation, but her food is loved by Frank, Raymond, and Robert. Her cannolis were especially desired by Raymond.
3. Which two sets of characters had two children?

Answer: Monica and Chandler, Marie and Frank

Monica and Chandler had twins (although with a surrogate mother). The twins' names were Erica and Jack. Marie and Frank had two boys: Robert and Raymond.
4. Which two characters both had a thing for acting/modeling?

Answer: Joey and Robert

Joey's career throughout the series is an actor. He had a small success, briefly, on "Days of Our Lives". The other friends honestly don't think much of his career, but no one would ever say anything to hurt his motivation (except for Chandler, in one episode).
Robert got discovered once too and became obsessed with modeling. Unfortunately for him, the whole thing was a scam and he lost thousands of dollars. He went with Ray to the place where he had his picture taken, only to find an empty office area where the scam took place.
5. Which regular guest actor/actress played in both "Everybody Loves Raymond" and "Friends" in several episodes?

Answer: Maggie Wheeler

Maggie Wheeler played Janice Litman in "Friends" and she played Linda Gruenfelder in "Everybody Loves Raymond". In "Friends", she was Chandler's ex-girlfriend with the painfully annoying laughter and in "Everybody Loves Raymond" she was Ray and Debra's good friend, along with her husband Bernie.
James Michael Tyler was Gunther in "Friends".
Paul Rudd was Mike Hannigan, Phoebe's husband in "Friends".
Andy Kindler was Ray's college friend Andy in "Everybody Loves Raymond".
6. Which two characters were spoiled growing up?

Answer: Rachel and Ray

Rachel was raised in a rich family, and used her dad's credit card all the way up until the beginning of the series, when the other friends encouraged her to live on her own and cut the credit cards.
Compared to Robert, Ray was definitely spoiled by his mother's affection, and poor Robert was deprived of love. Robert held this grudge against Ray for the entirety of the series.
Monica was spoiled as a child as far as food goes, but Marie was not (that we know of) so that's why that answer is wrong.
7. Which two characters had expired driver's licenses?

Answer: Rachel and Frank

Rachel had an expired driver's license for years, and managed to flirt her way out of a ticket when she was pulled over when driving with Ross. Frank also had an expired driver's license for years, and the family deperately tried to encourage him to get it renewed and at one point refused to give him the keys to the car altogether.
Ross too got pulled over, but for impeding traffic. He had his driver's license though.
8. In which state did both series take place?

Answer: New York

"Friends" and "Everybody Loves Raymond" were set in New York, although they took in place in different parts of the state. "Friends" took place in New York City and "Everybody Loves Raymond" took place on Long Island.
9. Which two characters were ashamed of/embarrassed by their father?

Answer: Chandler and Ray

On "Friends", Chandler is embarrassed by his dad who worked in a gay bar and dressed like a woman (maybe even became a woman, who knows). On "Everybody Loves Raymond", Ray is embarrassed by his dad because he used to go to get the newspaper in front of his house in his underwear, he's also embarrassed by how his dad makes scenes in the grocery store, and in one episode Ray states how this used to happen during his childhood, when his dad would throw pennies at the tollbooth operator.
10. Which two characters had trouble "performing"?

Answer: Chandler and Ray

Ray had a problem... for twelve years. Finally Debra told him about it and after Ray was crushed they managed to agree to work on it.
Chandler had a problem for a little while when things wouldn't function as they should, and he even asked Joey about it. Joey admitted having that problem once in his life too.
