Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Who asked Rachel if she proofread the resume she was sending out?

Answer: Ross

Rachel said she had and asked Ross why he was asking. He replied "Uh, nothing, I'm sure they'll be impressed with your excellent compuper skills. (Rachel had misspelled computer and spelled it compuper.) Rachel then said in an upset tone "Oh my God! Oh, do you think it's on all of them?" Joey replied "Oh no, I'm sure the Xerox machine caught a few." I am not sure if the blank look the other friends had was from Rachel's statement or Joey's reply.
2. Who told the girls that Joey had cried the previous night?

Answer: Ross

When Joey entered the Central Perk, Ross and Chandler laughed at him. Joey told them to shut up. Chandler then said that they were not going to say anything. When Phoebe asked what they were talking about, Ross told them that Joey cried. Chandler told them it was during their poker game. Joey had a three that was smudged with chocolate and he thought it was an eight.
3. Monica asked "Well, now, how come you guys have never played poker with us?"

Answer: False

It was Rachel who asked that. Phoebe then said "Yeah, what is that? Like, some kind of guy thing? Like, some kind of sexist guy thing? Like it's poker, so only guys can play?"
Ross told them that women were welcome to play. Joey said that the reason why they did not play poker with women was that they did not know any women that knew how to play poker.
4. In the first hand when the guys were teaching the girls how to play poker, who was dealt a straight?

Answer: Monica

Chandler told them that it was when they draw cards. Monica responded with "So I wouldn't need any, right? Cause I have a straight." Rachel and Phoebe congratulated Monica. The microwave timer went off and Monica went to the kitchen.
5. What did Monica make for the poker game snacks the first time they played poker?

Answer: Salmon roulettes and assorted crudites

Joey was very upset about Monica's snacks and told her "Whoa, whoa, whoa, Monica, what're you doin'? This is a poker game. You can't serve food with more than one syllable. It's gotta be like chips, or dip, or pretz..." Joey then realized that pretzels was two syllables. Joey had the "did I just make a mistake look".
6. Rachel got an interview for which store?

Answer: Sak's Fifth Avenue

The interview was for the position of assistant buyer. Phoebe said it was like the mother ship was calling her home. All three girls were very excited about the interview.
7. Whose aunt was Aunt Iris?

Answer: Monica

Monica invited Aunt Iris to teach the girls how to play poker. She had been playing poker since she was five years old. Monica said they had to listen to every word that she said.
8. Marcel kept playing "Daydream Believer" by The Monkees.

Answer: False

Marcel kept playing "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" by The Tokens.
9. Who told Ross that his fly was open?

Answer: Rachel

When Ross returned from the bathroom he said to Rachel "Your money's mine, Green." She replied "Your fly is open, Gellar." Ross checked and zipped up his pants.
10. Who won the money in the last hand of poker?

Answer: Rachel

Rachel had found out that she did not get the job at Sak's. Rachel was the dealer and the game she called was "Jacks or Better". Ross opened with 50 cents, Rachel raised him $5. Ross brought up the point that there was a 50 cent limit. Rachel said "Well, I just lost a job, and I'd like to raise the bet five bucks. Does anybody have a problem with that?" They all folded but Rachel convinced Ross to continue playing by saying "What do you mean, you fold? Hey, come on! What is this? I thought that 'once the cards were dealt, I'm not a nice guy.' I mean, what, were you just full of it?" After the draw, raises continued and the four not in the game were shocked at the amount of money on the table. Ross finally called and Rachel showed that she had a full house. Ross told her that she beat him but never showed his cards.

This insinuated that Ross felt sorry for her and let her win that hand.
