Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which traditional "Batman" villain was reimagined as a burlesque dancer?

Answer: Poison Ivy

This alternate history telling of the "Batman" tale had Ivy performing as a dancer. During her dance in the opening scene, the announcer called her dance moves "poison" as a call on her more traditional name. She was murdered in the second scene she appeared in.
2. What street thug attempted to attack Batman?

Answer: Big Bill

Big Bill was running a street gang of young boys. The boys were mugging people for him. Batman put an end to it by beating the big man bloody, and breaking his leg when the boys claimed he'd "run them down". The three boys, Dickie, Timmy, and Jason, are all names shared by future "Robins".
3. How tall was the ferris wheel?

Answer: 250 feet

The ferris wheel was 250 feet tall and traveled at 15 miles per hour. Dr. Hugo Strange promised people it was safe. The ferris wheel was placed at the Gotham World's Fair.
4. What was included in the enveloped with the letter sent by Jack to the Gotham Gazette?

Answer: A kidney

During the ceremony at the Gotham World's Fair, Selena Kyle showed up to yell at the mayor and members of the City Council who were there. They got in a fight about the safety of the women in the city, and a nun revealed the kidney being mailed to the newspaper.
5. Batman and Jack the Ripper were thought by law enforcement to be the same person.

Answer: True

Many people felt they were one and the same. Ironically enough though, Bruce was put in Blackgate Prison for being the murderer, so technically he was accused twice of being Jack, since few knew he was Batman and Bruce.
Bruce himself had publicly joked about Batman and Jack being the same man before he was captured.
6. Who was the Gotham Police Chief?

Answer: Harvey Bullock

Jim Gordon was the police commissioner. Bullock was nicknamed "Bulldog". John Dimaggio played the role of Bullock. Scott Patterson played Jim Gordon.
7. What was the name of the club where Bruce met Selena Kyle?

Answer: Dionysus Club

Selena Kyle was an actress as well as an activist. She was voiced by Jennifer Carpenter. Batman was voiced by Bruce Greenwood. The club played a part in the mystery, as Batman found a Dionysus Club pin at the scene of one of the murders.
8. Hugo Strange turned out to be Jack the Ripper.

Answer: False

Strange was attacked by Jack at Arkham Asylum, where Strange worked. Jack tossed Strange into a cell with many of his criminally insane people. The Ripper showed up just a few minutes before Strange was supposed to be meeting with Batman.
9. Who was the prosecutor who worked on the Jack the Ripper case?

Answer: Harvey Dent

Bruce and Harvey were friends. After Harvey found out that Bruce and Selena had spent the night together, and that Bruce was Batman, he chose to prosecute him as Jack the Ripper. Batman eventually escaped from Blackgate Prison during a staged prison fight.
10. Who was the real Jack the Ripper?

Answer: James Gordon

Dent, who in most of his appearances in "Batman" stories goes on to be the criminal Two Face, was the one hinted at to be the killer. However Batman and Selena Kyle, separately, managed to figure out that James Gordon was the killer at the same time. Batman was at Gordon's house, while Kyle was with him.

He tried to attack her, at the same time Batman had found out his real identity from the parlor at his house.
