Answer: For shooting Roger Thorpe

Billy had begun drinking again and got into a fight with Roger Thorpe and shot him. Roger survived.

Answer: Bridget Reardon and Hart Jessup

Bridget and Hart had a one night stand, resulting in the birth of Peter. She had kept her pregnancy a secret. Nadine helped her do it in exchange for Bridget agreeing to give her and Billy the baby to raise (Billy actually thought Nadine was pregnant - the idea was that Nadine would pass the baby off as the one she was carrying).

When Nadine and Billy divorced and Vanessa and Billy remarried, they adopted Peter. Bridget had a change of heart and they all agreed that they would share custody. Peter moved with Bridget and Dylan to Minnesota when Bridget and Dylan left Springfield.

Brent Lawrence was accused of raping Lucy Cooper, Nadine's step-daughter. Brent disguised himself as a woman, named Marion Crane, to trick people into trusting him. Eventually, Nadine started suspecting that something was a bit weird. When she went to Marion/Brent's apartment to check things out, he killed her and dumped her body in the lake.

When Hart was introduced he lived on the farm with his grandfather. His grandfather died and a large, unknown company managed to take the farm from Hart. He was disgusted to learn that it was his own father. Hart and Roger's then-wife, Dinah teamed up to get revenge on Roger and eventually got the farm back. In the process, they fell in love.

Samantha is the daughter of Justin and Jackie, making her Phillip Spaulding's sister. She was paralysed when Reva drove her car and its passengers, Dylan and Sam, off a bridge. Reva was presumed dead and Sam was paralysed. She eventually had surgery and was able to walk again.

Rae had been stalking Chelsea and managed to make it look like it was Frank's fiance Dana that was doing the stalking. Rae was eventually caught and put in jail. Chelsea and Johnny never did marry though, because Johnny found out that his first love, Roxie Shayne's condition was improving.

She had been in a mental institution in Switzerland for a while and she was improving enough that she could be transferred to one in the U.S. Johnny followed her to Tulsa, Oklahoma.
