Season one's episode entitled "Game Night", shows a large piece of Barney Stinson's back story. This story showed him working at a coffee shop with his girlfriend Shannon. He was a long haired hippie who planned on joining the peace corp and moving to Nicaragua. Shannon met a business man wearing a suit and broke up with Barney, motivating him to trade his hippie lifestyle for a life of awesomeness.

9. Halfway through season one, Ted Mosby starts a relationship with Victoria. Which actress played Victoria?

Victoria played Ted's love interest for 6 episodes that concluded when Ted broke up with her over the phone.
