In an attempt to get Cordelia's affections back, Xander has Amy (who spends the next few years as a rat herself) cast a spell which ends up going wacky. All of the women in Sunnydale go after Xander, including Buffy. However, Sarah Michelle Gellar was supposed to film "SNL" that week, so the entire script was re-written with her as a rat. Amy turned her into a rat - she really had a thing for rodents, didn't she?
