Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Complete this quote: "Why is it that when I heard the word 'school' and the word '_____' I immediately thought of the word 'Skinner'?"

Answer: exploded

This was said by Superintendant Chalmers when oil burst through Springfield Elementary.
2. Some references to a board game are made in this episode. Which one?

Answer: Monopoly

"I want that oil well! I've got a monopoly to maintain. I own the electric company and the waterworks, plus the hotel on Baltic Avenue." We also see that little fat guy from the Monopoly box have a cameo in this episode.
3. Who, out of the townspeople, has seen the sun set at 3pm (prior to Burns blocking it out of course)?

Answer: The Sea Captain

"Aye! Once when I was sailing round the Arctic Circ-" "Shut up you!"
4. At which letters on the sundial did Mr Burns arms point at when he collapses on it?

Answer: W & S

Lisa has a theory about this: "Then with your last ounce of strength you pointed to W and S or, from your point of view M and S - Maggie Simpson!" This, however, is balderdash. With his last ounce of strength Burns sucked out his gold fillings and swallowed them. "Those paramedics have sticky fingers."
5. Who does Mr Burns call his "greatest nemesis"?

Answer: The Sun

This is because it provides people with free light, heat and energy.
6. According to this episode, who is Bart's best friend?

Answer: his dog

Bart becomes a suspect because he is angry at Mr Burns for crippling his best friend - Santa's Little Helper. "You twisted old monster!"
7. At what time was Mr Burns shot?

Answer: 3pm

He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. Then he was moved to another, better hospital where his condition was upgraded to 'alive'.
8. What is the minimum percentage of Homer's carcass do the townspeople have to capture in order to claim the reward that Smithers has offered?

Answer: 51

Homer is under suspicion because they matched Simpson DNA to Burns' suit and Mr Burns woke up saying his name. Homer was arrested but then escaped as the prison truck fell over at a drive-thru.
9. A sign on the Catholic church indicates that the Archbishop carries less than $50.

Answer: True

This is on a board outside the church when Smithers goes to confess to the murder of Mr Burns (of which he is innocent). It says he carries less than $20, which is less than $50. It is a strange move as he isn't a Catholic. Unfortunately for him there is no priest in the confessional, only Police Chief Wiggum. "Boy this thing works great!"
10. So who shot Mr Burns?

Answer: Maggie Simpson

"Officer! Arrest the baby!" "Ha, yeah right pops. No jury in the world's gonna convict a baby...uhmm...maybe Texas."
