Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. "How can I understand the emotional content of 'Romeo and Juliet' if I can't even understand the emotional content of 'Full House'?"

Answer: Cory

This was said during the pilot episode, when Mr. Feeny was upset with Cory. "Full House" was a comedy-based family television show that lasted from 1989 until 1996. This episode aired in 1993, when "Full House" was very popular, regardless of bad ratings.

This quote was said when Cory was in detention with Mr. Feeny and Mr. Feeny was asking Cory if he even understood the emotional content of "Romeo and Juliet". When Cory said this, Feeny said, "Ah."
2. "It wouldn't be your first kiss, would it? I mean, 'cause if it were it would be very interesting. To know that the first time anyone kissed you, you thought you didn't like the way you looked. Wouldn't it?"

Answer: Topanga

In the episode "Cory's Alternative Friends", Cory attempts to straighten his hair. This doesn't really work so well. He ends up with all of the nerds at the geek table, and Topanga makes her first appearance as one of them. Cory has handcuffed himself to a locker with the rest of the nerds handcuffed to him in a row, with the last one handcuffed to the locker across the hall.

This stops people from leaving the school on a Friday afternoon, enabling the nerds to get them to sign a pettition for a teacher to not be fired. Now everyone is gone, except a free Topanga and a scared, still handcuffed Cory. Topanga kisses Cory for the first time here.

When Topanga said this quote, Cory says, "No! No, it would NOT be interesting!" Then she kisses Cory. How sweet!
3. "I think he was mad at me." (Response from Alan-"He wasn't mad at you.") "Then why did he call me a demon child?"

Answer: Morgan

In the first Christmas episode, "Santa's Little Helper", Morgan's story consists of a shopping-mall Santa who has a minor heart attack in the store right after she sits on him. While everyone tries to convince Morgan that she didn't "murder Santa Claus", the "hitman elf" doesn't help much. Morgan said that this elf had called her "demon child". Alan assured her she would never see him again.

As soon as he says that, the doorbell rings, the elf is at the door, and Alan asks this mean man why he called his daughter a "demon child". (Turns out that the elf blames Morgan.)
4. "That's not a germanium! That's a geranium!"

Answer: Mr. Feeny

In the last episode of season 1, "I Dream of Feeny", Cory wishes Mr. Feeny wasn't going to be in school the following day, because he wants to get out of a test. Coincidentally, Cory finds Mr. Feeny absent the next day, and feels really guilty for wishing that he get sick.

When Cory finds out that Mr. Feeny is in the hospital, he feels very afraid that he killed Mr. Feeny, regardless of what anyone tells him about appendicitis. When Cory brings the man a geranium plant, and calls it germanium, Mr. Feeny laughs and corrects him. Germanium is an element, and geranium is a plant.
5. "Just stare at them. Compliment them. Pretend you're interested in them. Girls like that."

Answer: Eric

Eric tells Cory this in the episode "Pairing Off". Cory wants to know how to get girls to notice him, or to talk to him. This is Eric's answer. Cory responds with, "That's it? Just be interested in something about them?" Then Eric says, "Now you're trying too hard! Just pretend!" When Amy and Alan find out Eric told Cory this, Amy asks, horrified, if that is what Alan taught Eric, and Alan hastily, and forcibly, corrects him.
6. "If I said that something happened between me and a certain someone, just to be cool, and it ended up hurting that certain someone, then it wouldn't be worth it. So I just want to say that whatever some of you may have thought may have happened between me and a certain someone, didn't actually happen."

Answer: Cory

In the episode entitled, "Wake Up, Little Cory", rumors spread that Topanga and Cory had sex when they both fell asleep in the film-editing room at school. Cory lets them believe it, humiliating and possibly scarring Topanga for life. When Alan, Amy, and Topanga come to him and tell him that it's wrong to let people believe Cory's "the man" when it's not true, Cory uses this quote in his class project video presentation.
7. "What did you think the 'TX' in 'Paris, TX' stood for?"

Answer: Mr. Turner

When Shawn attempts to run away to Europe in the episode "He Said, She Said", Mr. Turner thinks to look at the bus station. Sure enough, the ignorant Shawn was heading to Paris, Texas after taking a guidance counselor's advice too literally. Shawn responded by telling Mr. Turner that he just thought that the "TX" stood for tax!
8. (Said to two teenage boys) "About me and your dad, I mean, whatever happened between us, we really shouldn't let that get in the way of- You have no idea what I'm talking about, do you?"

Answer: Alan

During the episode "Rave On", it is Mr. and Mrs. Matthews' anniversary. When they overhear Eric and Cory's plans for a big rave to make Eric more popular, Alan and Amy think the kids are planning a surprise party for them. In order to not disappoint his parents, Cory attempts to change the Rave into an anniversary party, but Eric decides to just make it both- a rave AND an anniversary party. Cory explains two teenage boys relation to Alan with a made up story- and this quote was what Alan started to say, before realizing that the boys were of no relation to him whatsoever.

The boys just look at Alan in a funny way.
9. (After telling Shawn earlier in the episode to 'pick up a book') "So you picked up a book, I see?"

Answer: Mr. Feeny

In the episode "City Slackers", Shawn and Cory try sneaking up to Mr. Feeny's cabin in the mountains, but are almost immediately caught. Mr. Feeny realizes that Shawn must have read his diary kept at the cabin when he says this quote. Shawn knew that the watch Cory lost was a very special anniversary watch from Mr. Feeny's wife, who was no longer living. Shawn could only know that one way- through reading Mr. Feeny's diary. Surprisingly, Shawn reading Feeny's diary was a good thing.
10. (After Shawn commented on ____ picking up a television set) "Well heck, you've been here for a year. Besides, teachers shouldn't be watching television anyway."

Answer: Chet (Shawn's father)

In the very emotional episode, "I Never Sang For My Legal Guardian", Shawn ends up moving back into the trailer with his father after having lived with Mr. Turner for over a year. At the end of the episode, Chet helps Shawn get all of his belongings from Mr. Turner's apartment.

When Chet picks up Mr. Turner's television set, Shawn says, "Hey dad. That's Mr. Turner's television." In this humorous way Chet responds. (Remember: Mr. Turner's the high school English teacher.)
