Jack discovers that his assistant only told him Harrison Ford would be on the show to avoid being fired. With a live show and no celebrity appearance, Jack recruits an unwitting Grace to be the special guest.

Grace is thrust into the limelight when she is asked to decorate the set of 'Jack Talk'. She rummages around on the couch with her rear end in the air when the show goes live and Jack introduces her as a guest. Although she makes a very profound comment about her relationship with gay men, it is edited in a way that makes her seem homophobic!

Having fired Rosario, Karen dumps her at Will and Grace's apartment. Will accuses her of not dealing with the revelation that Stan is alive. Karen disagrees for a few reasons but when she mentions 'Harry Potter' she says, "You know, I say I root for Gryffindor, but secretly I love my Slytherin boys!"

Karen is still furious at Rosario for not telling her that Stan was alive. She pushes her into Will and Grace's apartment and tells her that she lives there. She then brings in a box of her maid's belongings. Apparently, Rosario really does have a degree in clinical psychology from the University of Texas!

Karen does break down but it is when Will finally makes her face her feelings. He calls her issues 'bricks' and says she needs to take them down one at a time. She finally lets go and cannot stop crying! It is Will's shoulder she cries on and we can see that after a while, he regrets it.

Jack makes Grace seem homophobic on his talk show. This is apparently because he needs a whole four minutes to make his protein shake. Grace becomes a social outcast because of this but Jack thinks he did nothing wrong.

She is an emotional mess because Will tried to help her with her feelings about Stan and somehow unleashed strong repressed emotions. As usual, these emotions manifest themselves as weird violence and hostility.

There are a few comments in the later series' of 'Will and Grace' that refer to Tom Cruise and his 'odd' behaviour. This one refers to his marriage to Katie Holmes and the (alleged) possibility that she may have been brainwashed by his Scientology religious beliefs. Grace says in response, "Oh please, she made her own twin beds!"

As they continue talking, Karen tells Will to look at his own life and he says, "It's exciting, actually. You know? I'm unemployed. I'm single. I'm 41. The world is my.. Oh, just put me on a little cart and roll me under a school bus."

Grace is in the hairdressers' when the 'Jack Talk' episode is aired and she gets everyone to watch it with her. After the editing makes her appear homophobic, all the men around her are clearly furious. We next see her arrive at Will's apartment with rollers, combs and brushes tangled into her hair and then she says, "Do you have any idea what I have been through? On my way over here, I was egged in the East Village, egg-whited in the West Village, and in Chelsea, some vicious queen threw a skinless chicken breast at me as he rollerbladed by!"

After Jack laughs off what he has done to her and says that all she needs is a pencil and she would look like a troll doll, Grace pretends to hug him. She grips him so tightly that he can hardly breathe and says, "I am not homophobic, you mincing little squirrel. So here's what you're gonna do, Alice. You're gonna put me on your next show so I can clear my name." After a little more squeezing, Jack agrees.

After Will tells Karen to take down the bricks in her emotional wall and he joins in, they have several drinks and decide to put them back in. They do, however, decide to each leave one out. Karen chooses Stan coming back from the dead. Will says, "I'll leave one out, too. I had the perfect guy, and the perfect job, and I threw it all away." Karen replies, "Honey, I said leave out a brick, not blow out an archway."

Since Jack got the job hosting his own talk show on a gay network, he thinks he is a superstar. He has delusions about the celebrity guests he is getting on his show and doesn't realise they are not really appearing as he threatens to fire his assistant if he tells him they aren't booked. When he is first breaking the news that he has Harrison Ford on his show he says, "I have a really exciting guest. Even better than the guest on my first episode". Will replies, "Better than a moustache drawn on your hand that you said was Lou Diamond Phillips? I find that hard to believe."

As Jack believes he is getting really famous guests on his show, he wants to make his set look professional. He thinks Will is out of the apartment and is planning to take the sofa for the studio. Jack then asks Grace to design a new set, which is how she accidentally ends up as a guest on the show.

After Grace convinces Jack to put her back on the show, she delivers a very dramatic speech to prove she is not homophobic:

"Shame on you! Bad queens! Bad queens. Do you even know who you're booing? I have been devoted to you for decades. When I was a little girl, I showed you mine when you showed me yours. Even though you didn't care. When I was in high school, I showed you mine when you showed me yours, even though you didn't care. And when I was in my twenties, I slept with you, even though you still didn't care. And now, you sneer at me at the Chelsea Market, and you throw macaroni salad at me on Christopher Street? And it's so not fair, because I love you people! I have always loved you, in a very unhealthy way. For my own personal development. So now, LOVE ME BACK!"

When she watches the replay later with Will she explains that not only was it rehearsed, but that she could also do it in Spanish.
