"The Doom Song" is one of GIR's most famous songs he sings, and it lasts for about six whole months!

Zim gets a muffin thrown at his head and he desperately wants to know who threw it. He suspects Dib and makes a fake world where Dib thinks he has powers. Dib comes to Zim's door and starts to say a few things to Zim and then Zim commands GIR to self destruct. At the end Zim finally finds out that Dib did throw the muffin.

Zim heard about Operation Impending Doom 2 and went to the great assigning, after being banished to Foodcourtia, for ruining Operation Impending Doom 1. The Tallest tricked Zim by saying they would send him on a secret mission. All the invaders lined up to grab a SIR unit, including Zim, but the tallest didn't want to give a perfectly good SIR unit to Zim, so they made GIR from robot parts in a garbage can and put some junk in his head.

They told Zim that GIR was an advanced robot. Zim was impressed and he took GIR with him.

GIR talks about tacos a lot in the series. It is obviously his favourite food. He also loves taquitos.

GIR has a green dog disguise he uses to make humans think he is a normal dog.

In the episode "A Room with a Moose", Zim gets revenge on his classmates by tricking them all to go on a field trip. Zim attempts to send them all into a wormhole, that leads into an empty room, with a moose. When Dib finds out that Zim is controlling the bus, Zim tells him all about his plan about the wormhole.

Then Zim tries to think of a fate that he can say to Dib, and GIR tells Zim to say "moosey fate".

GIR was told to observe the planet, for the mission, but all he observed was a little squirrel and told Zim what it was doing.

GIR leaves his guidance chip at home to make room for his cupcake, and he eats the whole thing. Zim gets mad at GIR for leaving the chip at home and yells at GIR, then GIR starts to cry. But the reason GIR cries is because he ate his cupcake and he misses it. You hear GIR say so a little later after Zim yells at him.

"Battle Dib" is one of the few episodes that didn't have the main character, Zim, in it.
