Janet and Terri were wearing workout tights and Jack was wearing shorts and a shirt. Janet and Terri continued doing their windmill type exercise and Jack modified his; he was lifting his legs to touch his toes easier. Furley went up there to complain about his headache.

Then he said what he had tried, Jack asked if aspirin hadn't worked. Furley had not tried aspirin and Janet went to the bathroom to get some for him.

Grunion leaves the water at night to spawn on the beaches in the spring and summer months in southern California. Grunion running is what the people call it when they go to the beach to catch the grunion. The only legal way to catch grunion in California is with your hands. You cannot dig a hole to trap them.

A fishing license is required for people 16 years and up. There is no limit on the number you can catch. Grunion are small fish, most of them are between five and six inches long. They are related to smelt.

When Terri asked what grunion was, Jack asked how long someone has to live in California before they heard about grunion. Furley and Jack then told Terri about how the grunion swims to the shore so they can burrow in the sand and mate. Terri thought that was so nice until Furley added that they were then caught and fried.

Diane was a 19 year old brunette. Larry said she would probably want to go out with a fun, good looking guy, but thought that Jack would be better since they were best friends. Jack did not appreciate Larry's statement. Larry also asked if Diane could stay with the trio since his apartment was so small.

Jack and Diane returned just after Larry got to the apartment. He was worried because they were out so late thinking that Jack had other plans with his sisters. When he saw that everything was ok, he asked Jack why they were back so early and that it wasn't even 10:30.

Diane said that Jack had won the bear for her at the carnival.

Jack told Diane that they would not be worried since he left a note telling them where they went and said he left it in a place they could not miss. The next morning when the girls were giving Jack the silent treatment, he told them where he left the note. Terri went to get the note and said it had fallen to the floor.

When Jack opened the door, Diane said she was going to shake the sand off the blanket. When Jack walked into the apartment Larry hit him. Diane told Larry were they had gone and Larry did not believe her. (This was not shown but Larry said that she told him in his apartment.) Larry also said that his little sister never lied until she met Jack.

Jack was cutting up the onions when Janet went into the kitchen to tell Jack that Larry was there. He said he did not want to talk to him unless he was going to apologize. Since Jack was crying from cutting the onions, she told Larry that Jack was upset about what had happened. Larry did not believe her so she called Jack to the living room. When he opened the kitchen door, Larry saw that he was crying and apologized and gave Jack a hug.
