"Lucky Suit" Trivia Quiz

Answer: "This time, he's fatter!"

Being ever-so-charming as always, Frank blurts out "This time, he's fatter!" right after Robert speaks. He gets looks from everyone in the family, but only Raymond finds it funny.

Answer: She burns it with the iron.

Marie's accident is revealed when Robert goes to get Frank some juice. There is a burn mark, in the shape of an iron, on the left shoulder of the jacket. She has burned it because she was ironing while watching TV. A commercial came on for a sports program saying that Raymond is going to be on it. Marie wonders why he didn't tell her. Thus, she is too distracted to notice what she is doing to the suit jacket.

Answer: Telling his suit that he hates it

Robert says "I hate you" three times to the suit. When Special Agent Garfield enters the room, he asks what Robert was just doing. Robert says that he wasn't doing anything. Special Agent Garfield then asks if Robert was saying, "I hate you, I hate you". Robert denies it and the interview goes in.

Answer: She sends a fax to Special Agent Garfield.

Marie decides, for some reason, to send a fax to Special Agent Garfield. Special Agent Garfield asks Robert if it is a joke and, since Robert is clueless, reads the fax out loud to him. In it, Marie explains what happened to the suit, and that Robert might be on edge because of it.

She then goes on to say that it's Raymond's fault and explains why. Just when Robert thinks his humiliation is over, Special Agent Garfield says that there is more. At the end, Marie asks the agent to get Robert to forgive her.

Answer: What time it will be on

While at Raymond and Debra's house, Marie asks why Raymond never informed her of the show. When he says that he "forgot" she says that she'll "just forget to watch". When Raymond says it is okay if she doesn't watch it, Marie asks what time it is on.

Answer: Blink a few times

Marie tells Robert that he scared her and asks how the interview went. Noticing the angry look in his eyes, Debra is quick to get between them. She tells Marie to go into the kitchen, and asks Robert to blink a few times.

Answer: Says he can just turn the TV up louder

Not having any concern for others, Frank is merely interested in the TV. It only goes off when Marie shuts it off herself. When Debra tells Frank that Robert's interview didn't go well, he seems to be a bit more concerned...but not much.

Debra says that Marie probably didn't mess things up on purpose, but rather did everything out of the kindness of her heart. When she says that, Robert responds with the above quotation. Debra responds, "Okay, but she's not a saboteur."

Answer: She wants to keep her family the way she likes it.

Robert believes that the Barone family is like a hierarchy. He says that Raymond is the prince and heir to the throne. Frank has the luxury of being the court jester. Robert, however, is merely a serf. He is on the very bottom of the hierarchy. Robert says that Marie doesn't want him to move up the ladder at all, because then it would screw up the delicate balance she fights to maintain.

Answer: To convince Agent Garfield to hire Robert as an FBI agent

Even though she tells Robert that she will stay out of his life, like he asks, Marie goes to the FBI headquarters to beg Special Agent Garfield to hire Robert. Agent Garfield says that he thinks that there is a deeper meaning to why Marie is messing up Robert's chances at the job.

Answer: She doesn't want him to get the job.

Agent Garfield claims that the signs that something is amiss are right there. He mentions that Marie ruined Robert's suit. Marie says that it was a simple mistake and that the letter was supposed to fix things. She says that she wrote it quickly to get it out. Agent Garfield argues that the letter obviously wasn't rushed but was written purposefully.

He then says that another example is that Marie came to talk to him, even though Robert said that the letter had embarrassed him enough.

Answer: Because Robert is a year away from retirement

Marie says that Robert is one year away from retiring from the force. If he were to retire, she could stop worrying about his safety. However, he just wants to go from one dangerous job to another. Her fears drove her to sabotage her son's possible future career.

Marie gives Robert a story that she was driving around and had some pie while she thought of everything he said. She says she was eating banana cream pie when the thought came to her that Robert had been right all along. Robert calls her bluff and says that Agent Garfield had called him and told him everything that she said.

As they are leaving Robert's apartment, Marie says that she didn't lie and really did stop for pie. However, the pie was actually coconut. She says, "I don't know why I changed it."

Agent Garfield's phone call about what Marie said makes Robert realize that she is only looking out for him. He says that he understands why she did it. They leave his apartment together.

Answer: It is canceled.

Geoffrey made Robert a "lucky hat" out of construction paper. He says that he made it because he heard about what happened to Robert's lucky suit. Robert puts it on and starts to say something, but Marie interrupts him because Raymond's program is starting. Before it can start, however, an announcer says that the program was canceled in favor of live coverage of an event. Robert takes his hat off, looks at it, and smirks.
