He got the canister, but it was stolen back from him before he escaped the area near the mansion. MacGyver was played by Lucas Till.

Keeping with the continuity from the original "MacGyver" series, Jack was the pilot. Though in the original series the character wasn't introduced until the second season, not in the pilot episode. Jack was shown flying a helicopter in this episode.
