In "River Dog", Liz and Max have gone off to an Indian reservation to seek information on where the aliens might have come from. While gone, Maria and Michael are in the Crashdown arguing and that is where they share their first kiss. Michael afterwards replies that he kissed her to "calm her down."

Answer: True

Michael steals Maria's car in this episode so that he can go to Marathon,Texas. The car ends up breaking down and they are then forced to stay in a motel together for the night.
