Edmund and Maria had been estranged for many months prior to his death. Once he perished in a fire at Wildwind, Erica in the ensuing weeks uttered harsh sentiments to Maria. Brooke disapproved of her conduct and let Erica know how nasty she was and to take it easy. In true form, Erica griped to Brooke about her words.

Palmer feared that Adam's business plans would bring in an array of crime and other insolent activities to town so he let Adam know his thoughts. Despite Adam opposing Palmer's issues with the gambling mall, he eventually dropped his plans.

Despite how Tad had a couple dalliances with Liza over the years, the two never exchanged vows, yet Liza wed Adam a total of three times. Adam's wives were (in order): Althea Chandler, Erica Kane (twice), Brooke English, Dixie Cooney, Natalie Marlowe, Gloria Marsh, Liza Colby (three times), Arlene Vaughn, Krystal Carey and Annie McDermott. Tad's wives were (in order): Dottie Thornton, Hillary Wilson, Dixie Cooney (three times), Krystal Carey and Cara Castillo. During the "AMC" revival in 2013, it was not stated whether Brooke had remarried Adam or if Tad remarried Dixie (Both couples were engaged when the show concluded on ABC in 2011)

There was a major quandrangle on "All My Children" from late 2000 into early 2001 that involved Tad/Dixie/David/Leslie. David had spiked a punch bowl at Ryan's yacht party in November/2000 with libidozone, a drug that increased people's libido. As a result, Tad and Leslie slept with one another at this party. Dixie was upset to learn this so, in retaliation, she and David made love at the Crystal Ball in January/2001.

Right before Dimitri had his one night stand with Maria, he thought that Erica had slept with Jonathan whereas Maria was distraught after giving up custody of her adopted son, Sam. The two comforted each other that evening. Skye Chandler, who had just escaped from captivity, saw them make love and tortured the two about it for months.

When Erica found out about the affair, she only grew to dislike Maria even more.

While growing up, Natalie was the treasured daughter to Wilma Marlowe while Wilma scorned Janet. Natalie had the beautiful looks whereas Janet came off as homely and frumpy. This led to Janet cultivating an inferiority complex to her much more beloved sister over the years.

When Janet arrived in town in 1991, she set out to take Trevor away from Natalie. In her most memorable stunt (and one of the most popular storylines in "All My Children" history), she lured Natalie to a well on Dimitri Marick's estate. During a confrontation here, Janet battered Natalie to knock her out cold, then kidnapped her by imprisoning her in the well. About a year later, Janet kidnapped Natalie again onto a train and was going to murder her (she shot Natalie but Natalie survived).

However, Janet went into labor so she could not go through with her plan to off her sister. Natalie reluctantly agreed to help Janet give birth to her daughter, Amanda.

Throughout the latter half of 2002, Kendall and Greenlee got into major fights over various issues. It was in January of 2003 that the two, along with Simone Torres, Mia Saunders and Liza Colby, launched a new cosmetics business called Fusion since both women had one thing in common: dethroning Erica as the cosmetics industry leader. Greenlee was upset that Kendall was getting romantically involved with Michael Cambias, a well-known corporate raider who swallowed up diminutive start ups.

They argued over Michael one day and this led to a fight where they squirted one another with sticky substances and tossed various objects at each other, like flowers. Palmer broke up their fight.

In the Fall of 1995, shortly after returning to town, Liza Colby and Tad Martin had a one night stand. Weeks later, the two got into an argument about it and Liza recorded this argument. On it, Tad claimed that he slept with Liza because he wanted to and since he and Dixie were having issues at the time of their scandalous act. Dixie found out about this months later and felt she needed a break so she returned to her hometown of Pigeon Hollow, West Virginia with JR. Before she left, Liza saw her at Chandler Mansion. Dixie blasted Liza for what she did and then bid Joe and Tad goodbye.

Julia and Kendall had some major fights in 1993 when they sharpened their claws on one another for Terrence Frye. Once 1994 arrived, though, Terrence did not care to pursue a romantic relationship with either woman so Kendall set her sights on Anton. Julia had befriended Anton during this period so she warned him about Kendall.

This led to the two women fighting even more. Kendall left town in August/1995 while Julia left a little more than a year later in December/1996. Kendall returned in January/2002 whereas Julia returned in August/2005. During both of their return tenures, the two women barely interacted with each other.
