ReBoot 1.4: "The Medusa Bug" Trivia Quiz

The episode began with dozens of advertising vid-windows flashing their messages to the patrons of Dot's Diner. Dot and Enzo were getting ready to leave but Dot wanted to make one last phone call. Enzo reminded her that she promised to go with Bob and Enzo and that she was the one who always told him to keep a promise.

When Dot went outside, she was surprised that Bob's car ran at all. When Bob and Enzo briefly looked away and then looked back, Dot was back in the diner, making a telephone call. Before she could finish, Bob and Enzo grabbed her and tossed her into the back of the car.

Answer: A box

After Megabyte made his getaway from Lost Angles in his limousine, he had finally stolen Hexadecimal's deadliest weapon: The Medusa Bug. When Megabyte showed it to Hack and Slash, they thought that Hexadecimal's ultimate weapon was little more than a box. They did not seem to take into account that the weapon was hidden inside the box.

Answer: She was bored.

After Megabyte left, Megabyte's virals unleashed their firepower on Hexadecimal. Almost all of their shots were right on target, but Hexadecimal shielded herself from the blasts using her powers. After the virals stopped firing, she returned fire. Later, Megabyte spoke to his general who told him that Hexadecimal left simply because she was bored.

Answer: Yes

In his "Tor", Megabyte wanted to see Hex's new weapon and the extent of it's power. He released it from it's case only to realize that it was a viral parasite, not a weapon. Megabyte's arm was slowly turning to stone so he told his computer to analyze the virus and find a cure for it.

The code of the parasite was unknown, and cures were also unknown. Hexadecimal then opened up a vid-window in front of Megabyte, revealing to him that she knew what the bug was and that Megabyte just walked himself into a trap.

Answer: Bob may be immune to the Medusa Bug.

After escaping to the Principal Office, Phong explained the known details about the viral bug to Bob, Dot and Enzo. Phong said that the virus would spread to whatever it touches so everyone would be at risk. Phong then said that Bob may be immune to the virus because he is a guardian. Enzo blamed Megabyte for the virus, but Bob and Dot discounted that as a possibility, because the viral bug was too unpredictable and chaotic.

They immediately realized that the virus was courtesy of Hexadecimal.

Answer: Evacuate everyone into the Principal Office.

Phong told Dot and Enzo that the city was in the most immediate danger, so he ordered Dot and Enzo to evacuate everyone into the Principal Office. They thought that it would be a safe place to hide. If someone were to be infected by the Medusa, before they could be evacuated, it would only take a little bit of time before they would completely delete.

Answer: Yes

Hexadecimal noticed Bob flying to a location in Mainframe with an antique anti-virus command in his hands. Bob dropped it onto the Medusa and then waited to see if it did anything. The command exploded and cleared out the virus in one sector for a short, and I mean short, amount of time.

After being temporarily cleared out, the Medusa fought back the command and eventually re-infected the sector.

Answer: The Medusa turned the shield to stone, dissolved it, and then got into the Principal Office.

As the virus approached the centre of Mainframe, the people hiding in the Principal Office became nervous. With the shields up, the inevitable was merely delayed by a few extra seconds. The Medusa Bug covered the shield and then quickly dissolved it, before entering the Principal Office. Everyone was infected and turned to stone. Bob, however, managed to break free of the stone because of his guardian immunity to the virus.

Answer: Infect her with the Medusa

Hexadecimal, bored by the lack of life in the post-Medusa Mainframe, tried to talk with her cat, Scuzzy. Alas, Scuzzy was also infected by the virus. Sitting around her lair, unable to communicate with anyone, she did not expect Bob to rappel down and nearly kick her into her stone Scuzzy. Clearly, Bob's plan was to infect her with the Medusa, but little did Bob know that she was too skilled to infect herself with her own creation.

After Hexadecimal avoided touching her infected cat, Bob threw a small doll, that was also infected, right at her.

She stopped the doll, as well, so the plan to infect her with her own virus was a complete failure.

Answer: Bob said all of these to Hexadecimal.

After Hexadecimal got Bob into her choke hold, Bob told her that he liked what she did with the system. Curious, she asked why that was. Bob then said that she made Mainframe so predictable. He then said that everyone would always be still and quiet, there would never be any more battles with Megabyte, there would never be any unexpected turns of events, and that there would only be peace and calm forever.

The idea of peace and calm truly disturbed Hexadecimal, so with a snap of her fingers the Medusa deleted itself. Everything was back to normal and Bob was finally ready to relax when, out of the blue, a game-cube began it's descent onto Mainframe.
