Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. At what intersection was the 55th precinct police station located?

Answer: King and Arthur

King and Arthur do exist in New York but in different boroughs and those streets do not intersect. The station is nicknamed "Camelot" due to the stories of King Arthur and the Knights of the roundtable - which was also explained by Sully during the series finale.
2. What praise did the show receive from critics throughout its entire six season run?

Answer: The use of minority cast and crew

Some of the highlights:
Director Felix Enriquez Alcala winning an American Latina Media Arts Award (ALMA), with Director Jesus Salvador Trevino, Bobby Cannavale and Eddie Cibrian nominated for the same.
Nia Long and Michael Beach winning the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Image Awards.
Tia Texada winning the Imagen Foundation Award (an award honoring Latinos in the media).
3. Which character got pregnant but later aborted the baby?

Answer: Faith Yokas

Yokas got pregnant with what was to be her third child, but was worried about making ends meet despite Fred's excitement about the pregnancy. She secretly got an abortion and then told Fred she lost the baby from being assaulted by an assailant who swung a baseball bat at her abdomen.
4. Which character "practically had reserved parking" at sensitivity training?

Answer: Maurice Boscorelli

Carlos was ordered to attend sensitivity training in the wake of Bobby's death and his attitude since that event. When attending his first session he spots Bosco also attending and sits beside him. When asked why he was there Bosco said he practically has reserved parking for these types of training sessions.
5. In the aptly named episode "Two Hundred and Thirty-Three Days" which character's father was found in the rubble 233 days after the events of 9/11?

Answer: Alex Taylor

Alex Taylor came down from a lineage of EMS workers and her father was involved in the initial response to the 9/11 terrorist attacks. His body was found during this episode.
6. In an episode that featured just the men of the show, why were John Sullivan, Ty Davis, Monte Parker, and Maurice Boscorelli at an undisclosed isolated cabin together?

Answer: Help Sully beat his new alcohol addiction by sobering up there.

The episode begins with Sully in front of a TV, holding a gun, and the song "Hurt" by Johnny Cash playing in the background. Suddenly the screen goes blank and a gunshot is heard. The rest of the episode is spent at a cabin where Sully is kept and watched by the other guys, each taking a turn watching over him, allowing for one-on-one character dialog between Sully and his friends.
7. Which NFL NY Giants player guest-starred during an episode where two fire stations competed with each other with an annual football game?

Answer: James Sehorn

Sehorn played a firefighter on the opposing team. After the game ended both teams' firefighters had to attend a large industrial blaze that ended up claiming the life of Sehorn's character. During Jimmy's narration at the end of the episode, he noted that no matter how aggressive or competitive the firefighters were with each other, they wasted no time putting their lives at risk to save each other and never asked why.
8. How did Captain Miller and Detective Yokas trick Jeffrey Barton into revealing where his latest victim is being held captive?

Answer: They gave him the impression the deadline passed.

Barton's "game" was that Miller had to rescue to victim within a certain period of time or she'd die based on a killing method he set up and operates on time. During the interrogations, Barton kept asking for the time and each time the detective would say the time is increasingly later than what it really was. Once Barton believed the patient was dead due to the deadline passing, he told him where to retrieve the body. Only after he realized he was played and the victim was rescued.
9. Which of the following notable actors/actresses did not have a guest role on the show?

Answer: Tom Selleck

Helen Mirren portrayed the mother of character Grace Foster. Will Arnett portrayed a wheelchair bound drug addict/seller. Tom Berenger portrayed a journalist/author who gets intertwined with an investigation. Tom Selleck was actually supposed to perform that role but dropped out at last minute and was replaced with Berenger.
10. Which character delivered the narration explaining the post-series fates of each character at the end of the series finale?

Answer: John Sullivan

Sully said the 55th precinct was being rebuilt at another location. He said Lou retired, Ty and Brendan went to Anti-Crime, Sasha is going for City Council, Holly and Carlos got married, Grace became an EMS instructor, Faith went to Major Crimes and started a relationship with her new partner (Captain Miller), Cruz was posthumously awarded the medal of honor, Manny visits Cruz's grave everyday and places a single rose on it; Stu, Walsh, and DK were all promoted and continue to work together, and of course, Bosco kept doing what he's always done. Sully then said that he retired.
