Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which actress plays Robin Lefler on "Star Trek: The Next Generation?"

Answer: Ashley Judd

Ashley is the daughter of the singer Naomi Judd. Ashley was in a lot of movies and I have seen them, but this was by FAR my favorite role for her.
2. Robin Lefler helped La Forge modify what system on the Enterprise?

Answer: Transporter

Jean-Luc Picard got trapped on planet El-Adrel in the episode "Darmok", and she made her appearance helping to beam him back up.
3. Robin's parents had what job?

Answer: Exobiologists

That's all we knew about Robin's parents from the TV series, until a new book series came out that had Robin as a main character. The series is called "New Frontier."
4. What department does Robin Lefler work in?

Answer: Engineering

We see her in Engineering early on in the episode, and she reports to Geordi La Forge, who is Chief Engineer.
5. What did Robin say her first friend was?

Answer: Tricorder

This might mean that Robin was alone most of the time growing up. It also underscores the fact that she used to be shy around people, and now apparently is not.
6. How many Lefler's Laws did Robin write?

Answer: 102.

Robin made up some "laws" for her to follow in life, aptly named "Lefler's Laws." Wesley gave her a 103rd one to add to the collection.
7. Which is not a Lefler Law from the television show?

Answer: When on Vulcan, use sunscreen.

Vulcan is also known as 40 Eridani.
8. Robin Lefler was in "Darmok" and what other episode?

Answer: "The Game"

Ashley is not the only actress to get her start on "Star Trek." Others include Kirsten Dunst and Nikki Cox. I should know, I grew up with Kirsten and she says it all the time.
9. What was the species of aliens in "The Game?"

Answer: Ktarian

Supposedly, the game was giving everyone "adult endings." Not many ways I can word it politely...Think adult pleasure...Anyways, everyone got addicted and became useless zombies. For those of you that disagree, look it up in the episode guide.
10. Which law did Wesley add to Lefler's Laws?

Answer: A couple of light-years can't keep good friends apart.

Of all the non-regulars in "Trek," Ashley Judd is one of the more accomplished actresses who have gone onto bigger things in film.
