1. Which Top Gear host was presenter of "Robot Wars" in series one?

Answer: Jeremy Clarkson

Jeremy Clarkson was the presenter in the first series, but was replaced in the second series.
2. Who became the presenter in series two onward?

Answer: Craig Charles

Craig Charles took over from Jeremy Clarkson in the second series. Craig was also in the UK sci-fi comedy, "Red Dwarf", and played one of the main characters, Dave Lister.
3. Who was the commentator for the whole of "Robot Wars"?

Answer: Jonathon Pearce

Jonathan Pearce was the commentator throughout the whole of the time that "Robot Wars" was on air. He went on to become a regular football commentator, both on television and on the radio.
4. Not including World Championships and extreme, how many series of "Robot Wars" were there?

Answer: 7

There have been seven series of "Robot Wars". The BBC stopped buying "Robot Wars" after series six, so the final series was bought by Channel Five.
5. What is the only robot to have successfully defended its title as UK Champion?

Answer: Chaos 2

Chaos 2 had to beat Hypno Disc in the series three final, and Pussycat in the series four final.
6. Which robot has been dubbed (by the commentator) as "half bird, half reptile"?

Answer: Razer

It had one of the most deadly weapons in the history of robot wars - a crushing claw, with nine tonnes of "squeezability".
7. Which robot beat Chaos in the series two heat final?

Answer: Mace

Both robots were very similar, but Mace flipped Chaos onto its back. Chaos should have been able to right itself, but it couldn't, as George Francis, the driver of Chaos, had forgotten to put two bits of plastic on the robot's back.
8. How many House Robots have there been in the televised UK version of "Robot Wars"?

Answer: 9

Dead Metal (112kg)
Shunt (105 kg)
Sgt. Bash (120kg)
Sir Killalot (500kg)
Refbot (A referee that didn't fight, 120kg)

9. The hole in the floor which a robot can fall through is called the Pit of... what?

Answer: Oblivion

In the first three series, it was open all the time, but removed for semi-finals and The Final, but in series four onward there was a switch which a robot had to activate for the pit to open up.
10. A tough one to finish - How big is the "Robot Wars" arena (battle area)?

Answer: 54 x 30 foot
