Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What should you keep at all times when competing against a robot?

Answer: Control of your robot

Taking on a house robot is a risk, because they are strong robots and will punish your robot for going near them. If you can't keep control of your robot, Ref Bot will count your robot out. If it counts to ten, you are eliminated.
2. Which of these weapons is not acceptable to fit on your robot?

Answer: Flamethrower

Flamethrowers can be hazardous to the competitors and the audience. However, house robots are immune to this condition. Flywheels are okay to use. Using them will not make you a copy of Hypno-Disc. They have made a unique type of weapon and will be accepted for anyone to use.
3. A robot must weigh no more than 100 kilogrammes. Are walking robots immune to this?

Answer: Yes

The walking robots are immune to this, because their legs weigh too much and this rule had to be broken a little. House robots are also immune to this. Mr. Psycho weighs 600 kilogrammes.
4. What is the maximum time limit for any combat?

Answer: Five minutes

However, if a robot is immobilised (robot not active and cannot move), the robot is out. If both robots are active and the time runs out, the judges will decide who did the most damage, control, style and aggression.
5. What is the time limit for a robot to get a grip on the other?

Answer: One minute

If the robot has grip after one minute, Ref Bot will separate the competitor robots and continue the battle.
6. If two or more robots are stuck in a deadly embrace, what will happen?

Answer: Ref Bot will separate the competitor robots

The match can never be declared a draw, unless both robots have been immobilised at the same time.
7. When can a house robot attack a competitor robot?

Answer: When the robot enters a CPZ (Corner Patrol Zone)

If a robot enter a CPZ zone and a house robot is patrolling it, the house robot may attack the competitor robot. However, the attack must last no longer than fifteen seconds.
8. If a competitor robot has been immobilised for over thirty seconds, what will happen to it?

Answer: All of these answers are true

A house robot has the right to attack an immobilised robot (if it has been immobilised for over thirty seconds). However, if the house robot attacks a competitor robot when the robot is either not immobilised in a CPZ zone, the house robot will be given a yellow card. If it attacks a robot with permission the second time, it will be issued a red card.
9. If the judges declare the match a draw, who will given the permission to decide the best robot of the match?

Answer: Audience

The best robot is decided by the audience's applause.
10. Vandalising someone else's robot (e.g. taking parts out of the robot) will be immediately disqualified).

Answer: True

To prevent vandalism in "Robot Wars", CCTV (Closed Circuit Television) are fitted. Diotor may have vandalised part of Firestorm, but that was only set. It was meant to happen. They were only given a warning.
