Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. According to Burt Reynolds, what is "a funny name"?

Answer: Turd Ferguson

This appears in the sketch involving Burt, Sean Connery and French Stewart.

Burt Reynolds says "Check out my podium." Alex Trebek notices that Reynolds has adjusted his name in the ad break stating that "Mr. Reynolds has apparently changed his name to Turd Ferguson." Reynolds responds "yeah, that's right. Turd Ferguson, it's a funny name!"
2. Which character did Jimmy Fallon not play on "Celebrity Jeopardy"?

Answer: Keanu Reeves

Keanu Reeves was played by Tobey MacGuire.
3. Who were the celebrities on the first parody of "Celebrity Jeopardy"?

Answer: Sean Connery, Burt Reynolds and Jerry Lewis

This was back in the days when the categories were semi-serious. Sean Connery was very confused and thought that he was going to have to give money to the show because he was in the negatives!
4. What category did Michael Keaton describe with great detail?

Answer: Numbers

Keaton stats that to get the answer you have to break down the question. "See, numb, when you're numb, you can't feel anything. And burr, burr, is a noise you make when you're cold. So I guess my answer is something you can't feel when you're cold?" Trebek tells him that he is wrong, so Keaton resoponds "What is something you can't feel when you're cold?"
5. Who did Tobey MacGuire play in a famous "Celebrity Jeopardy" skit?

Answer: Keanu Reeves

Some classic lines appear in this sketch. "I know Kung-Fu" were the first words MacGuire uttered as Reeves in the skit and from there it was obvious the audience were in for a treat.

In one exchange Reeves mistakes the question "Colours that end in -urple" for "the humerous fellow with glasses who loves cheese." It is up to poor Alex Trebek to correct him, "That's Urkle!"
6. One of the great "Celebrity Jeopardy" sketches features Adam Sandler. Who was not mentioned in the song he performed?

Answer: Freddy Krueger

The song is a parody of his Hanukkah song. The lyrics for this version went "Robert DeNiro, Bela Lugosi, Snuffleupagus and Parker Posey".
7. In 2002, Will Ferrell departed the cast of "SNL". At the time, this was earmarked as the final "Celebrity Jeopardy". In this particular sketch, which famous musician was impersonated?

Answer: Dave Matthews

Dave Matthews appeared in the "Celebrity Jeopardy- Music Special" sketch. Along with him were Bjork and Sean Connery. Connery explains that he specifically released an album so that he could appear on the special.
8. In the sketch featuring Calista Flockhart, why did she not write an answer for the Double Jeopardy round?

Answer: Her pen was too heavy

After Nicolas Cage had lost his podium, Trebek thought he had more chance of getting a good answer out of Calista Flockhart. When he went to view her answer he realised she had not written anything down. Flockhart had to explain that her "pen was too heavy".
9. In the category "Don't Do Anything", why did Sean Connery ring his buzzer?

Answer: Because he hates Alex Trebek

In this sketch,m Trebek thinks he has finally got a category that the players can win- "Don't Do Anything". He is sorely mistaken! Ozzy Osbourne and Marta Stewart both ring in and get the question wrong. At the last second, Connery rings in as well. Trebek asks "why did you do that?" Connery responds "because I hate you Trebek!"
10. Who did Darrell Hammond not impersonate in the "Celebrity Jeopardy" sketches?

Answer: Jeff Goldblum

Darrell Hammond is the only actor other than Will Ferrill to appear in all of the Celebrity Jeopardy Sketches. He played Donahue and Travolta once each and appeared as Connery eleven times.
