Kendall arrived in Pine Valley determined to reconnect with her mother, Erica Kane. Kendall had a secret since she was Erica's daughter via a rape which happened to Erica at age fourteen. She first found Erica at Enchantment while Erica was talking with Dimitri. Her desire to both work for Erica and reunite with her mother played a part in this integral scene.

Kendall wanted to harm Erica badly so she concocted a dangerous lie. She falsely claimed to Erica that Dimitri had raped her. Erica confronted Dimitri about this but he promised her he would never do such a thing to Kendall. This turn of events culminated in Erica flashing back to her own rape and then stabbing Dimitri with a letter opener.

Answer: Richard Fields

Erica was charged with stabbing Dimitri and wanted to get her message out to the public through a press conference. She pleaded her innocence and spoke until silenced by the arrival of Kendall with her father, Richard Fields. Erica went to attack him but was pulled back.

Answer: Perjury

During Erica's trial, Kendall testified and claimed to have never told Erica that she had been attacked by Dimitri. She eventually told the prosecuting attorney about lying on the witness stand. As a result, Kendall was charged with perjury, convicted and served a short stint behind bars. It was behind bars where she encountered Janet Green.

Bianca and Kendall fought constantly in Kendall's first initial months in town. To get revenge on her, Bianca poured ink all over her bridesmaid's dress for Erica's wedding to Dimitri. Erica blasted Bianca for this so she agreed to be civilized with Kendall for her mother and Dimitri's sake.

One evening, Dimitri and Erica shared a dance while Kendall, Mona and a couple others looked on at them in delight. Mona glanced over at Kendall's neck and saw an interesting birthmark on her. She realized this birthmark was on the baby Erica gave up for adoption years ago. This was how Mona came to realize that Kendall was actually her granddaughter.

Kendall and Anton got into a fling together and it then turned serious. They eventually got hitched but many complications soon followed. The two eventually divorce after a very short union as husband and wife.

Kendall discovered Janet in the basement of the church where Trevor and Laurel were set to marry. She realized Janet planned to shoot at Laurel during the wedding but managed to stop her. Janet darted from the church and Kendall followed her only to see her be struck by lightning. Kendall announced back at the church that Janet "died" from a lightning strike.

However, Janet turned up alive a few months later.

Kendall and Corvina teamed up together in an attempt to get Corvina's hands on the Marick fortune. To do this, they forged papers making it appear as if Corvina and Dimitri had been switched at birth. They hid the papers in a leopard statue but their ruse had been discovered.*

One day in 1994, Kendall was outside with Bianca on the grounds of Wildwind. In a twisted move, Kendall got Bianca inside the mausoleum, causing the young girl to scream in fright. A frightened Edmund and Maria heard Bianca's yells for help and ran to release her.
