Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In the "Scooby-Doo! Where Are You!" episode, "Foul Play in Funland", what was the name of the robot that was causing havoc in the amusement park?

Answer: Charlie

Charlie the Robot was built by one of the owners of Funland, and was caused to malfunction by the other one. The two owners were brother and sister. Both of their surnames were Jenkins.
2. In the 1987 film "Scooby-Doo Meets the Boo Brothers", who turns out to be the main villain?

Answer: The sheriff's brother

The sheriff's brother was the one who was dressing up as most of the ghosts and villains. However, at the end of the film, the real sheriff arrives and arrests his brother, thereby revealing to Shaggy, Scooby and Scrappy that he was an impostor.
3. How many episodes were produced from the first season of "Scooby-Doo! Where Are You!"?

Answer: 17

The seventeen episodes aired between September 1969 and January 1970, and were then followed by another eight between September and October 1970.
4. Which of these celebrities did not make at least one appearance in "The New Scooby-Doo Movies"?

Answer: Henry Winkler

Cass Elliot appeared in "The Haunted Candy Factory", which aired in 1973, Jerry Reed appeared in "The Phantom of the Country Music Hall", which aired in 1972, and Don Knotts appeared on more than one occasion. Henry Winkler, on the other hand, did not appear.

However, his fictional character, Fonzie or The Fonz did appear in the 1979 television special "Scooby Goes Hollywood", later released on video as "Scooby-Doo Goes Hollywood".
5. Who voiced "Scrappy-Doo" in the first live-action film?

Answer: Scott Innes

Scott Innes also voiced Scooby and Shaggy for a few direct-to-video "Scooby-Doo" movies before taking on this role.
6. What is the name of the episode in "The Scooby-Doo Show" where the gang travels to Scotland?

Answer: A Highland Fling with a Monstrous Thing

The episode aired on October 18th 1978. The episode featured the gang traveling to an old Scottish castle to visit a friend. While there, they encounter the Loch Ness Monster and the ghost of an old Scottish highlander named Finnyan McDuff.
7. Has Scooby ever worn a different collar?

Answer: Yes

I know of two times when Scooby has worn a different collar. One was during the "Scooby-Doo! Where Are You!" episode "Decoy for a Dognapper", and the other was when he inherited one in the "A Pup Named Scooby-Doo" episode "Curse of the Collar".
8. In the series "A Pup Named Scooby-Doo", what was the name of the bully who Freddy blamed for nearly everything?

Answer: Red Herring

Red Herring was voiced by Scott Menville, he appeared in nearly every episode of "A Pup Named Scooby-Doo" and he was sometimes accused by Freddy even when he wasn't in the episode (when this happened, Red would then appear and clear his name). Red was only the villain once, and ironically, Freddy did not blame him that time.
9. In the 1988 film "Scooby-Doo and the Ghoul School", what gift does Elsa Frankenteen make for her father Frankenteen Senior?

Answer: A portable shockman

During the movie every girl ghoul gives their father a gift, and the portable shockman was Elsa's personal gift for her father. The portable shockman was a play on a portable walkman.
10. In what year was "Scooby-Doo in Arabian Nights" released?

Answer: 1994

This movie does not concentrate very much on Shaggy and Scooby, (who are the only two "Scooby-Doo" characters in the film). During the film, we see several tales that live up to the latter part of the title, "Arabian Nights". Also, this movie was not always called "Scooby-Doo in Arabian Nights", but just "Arabian Nights".
