When the two were facing Eggman's robot Burn-Bot, Tails was shot down with the Tornado. Sonic found him badly injured. Luckily, his heart was beating. Sonic was scarred that Tails almost died and decided to get a new sidekick to protect his best friend.

Tails' robot UT is known to translate any language--even wild animals--into English. It also translates what something said really means. This actually caused tension between the five pals.
