Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. First seen in "Encounter at Farpoint," this crewmember became in charge of the transporters.

Answer: O'Brien

Miles Edward O'Brien ended up getting a promotion to Chief of Operations on board Deep Space Nine. He married Keiko in "Data's Day" and had a child, Molly, in "Disaster."
2. What the conference room on is commonly called.

Answer: Observation Lounge

This place also seemed to double as a dining room when there were important guesrs.
3. Name of the first Trill seen in the "Star Trek" universe.

Answer: Odan

Ambassador Odan ended up falling in love with Dr. Crusher. But then Odan's body died and was implanted into a woman (after having briefly been in Riker). Thus ended the relationship. Note: In this episode, Trills are not supposed to be able to use a transporter, but in later "Deep Space Nine" episodes, Dax does.
4. Book that we find out Troi had given Riker in "Conundrum."

Answer: Ode to Psyche

She inscribed it "All my love, Deanna.'
5. Poem that Data wrote.

Answer: Ode to Spot

It was full of words that would put anyone to sleep. It actually did put Riker to sleep in "Schisms,' but Riker only claimed it did so because he had been having trouble sleeping. The poem makes another appearance in "A Fistful of Datas" when Data had an experiment-gone-awry and things from his programming ended up everywhere (including overwriting a play that Riker was rehearsing).
6. Name of the nurse who first appeared in "Future Imperfect,' and was in many episodes thereafter.

Answer: Ogawa

Nurse Alyssa Ogawa got her first name in "Clues."
7. Location of planet where Data (and Lore) was found.

Answer: Omicron Theta

It was a site of a colony which had been destroyed by the Crystalline Entity.
8. Type of eggs that Riker had made an omelet out of in "Time Squared."

Answer: Owon

The only person who liked the omelet was Worf.
9. What Lwaxana Troi would rather eat than go anywhere with Daimon Tog.

Answer: Orion wing-slug

"So go away and find someone else to become your property." He ended up kidnapping her anyway.
10. What Mrs. Troi found out she was giving when she stroked Daimon Tog's lobes.

Answer: oo-mox

There is no direct translation into English what this means and as this is a family site, I cannot tell you more about this term.
