When Rachel opens the gift from Ross, she's stunned because it was an antique pin. She's touched because he remembered the time they walked by an antique store and she pointed out a pin they had in their window that was just like her grandmother's. Chandler then says when Ross was in love with Carol, he bought her an expensive crystal duck.

He then tries to take it back when Rachel catches on to what he was saying. Rachel can't believe it and Phoebe says, "I know. This is really, really huge!" Chandler then says, "No it's not. She said that she loved the present, and she will see you when you get back." Later on in the episode, Rachel goes to meet Ross at the airport again as he exits the plane on his way back from China. As he enters the terminal, we see him kiss another woman and hear him tell her he can't wait for her to meet his friends. We then see Rachel anticipating Ross' arrival although she has no idea he is with someone else.
