Cory mentions that he thinks Mr. Feeny has known him long enough to call him Cory, and Mr. Feeny replies, "I think I've known you long enough to call you Cornelius." Cory responds, "Shh! Not even Topanga knows that!"

He received very few presents in "Santa's Little Helper", because his father was "laid off". In "Cult Fiction", Shawn was feeling lost and confused, and "The Center" seemed to provide him relief from these feelings. In "We'll Have a Good Time Then", Shawn accidentally lets his father hear all of his anger at him, and then Chet (Shawn's dad) dies before he can apologize.

While Shawn finds out in "Family Trees" that a stripper is his real mother, she never visits him.

In "Angela's Men", viewers find out that Angela's mother left her and her father, just like Shawn's mother. This was the reason she was reluctant to love Shawn- she was afraid she'd leave him.

In "Cult Fiction", Shawn feels lost and not sure of his own beliefs, so he gets drawn into a cult. He is soon harshly brought back into reality when Mr. Turner is in the hospital- and is severely injured due to "screwing up on his bike". The viewer is left unsure of Mr. Turner's well-being at the end of the episode, and Anthony Tyler-Quinn (the actor portraying Jonathan Turner) is never seen again. In a later episode, however, viewers can be reassured. In "Graduation", Minkus returns, and yells, into the 'other hallway', "Hey Mr. Turner!"
Obviously this means he is still alive.

"I Am Not a Crook" is the episode where Shawn nominates Cory for class president. Near the end of the episode, Cory makes campaigning signs. They say on them: "Cory A. Matthews- Honest- Loyal- Decent". Cory's father remarks, "Oh yeah. Honest to your voters, loyal to your friends, and decent enough to kill off your own parents." (He had lied to his classmates, said he didn't need Shawn if the voters didn't like him, and had told the voters his parents were dead, just to get support.)

Cory has two brothers and one sister- that makes 3. Eric older than Cory, Morgan is his little sister, and Joshua is the baby. He only has three siblings, as he himself doesn't count as a sibling. I mentioned the "married" factor because Joshua wasn't born yet for most of the series.

I tried to make up realistic wrong answers- Mr. Feeny does love gardening and teaching. Jack put up Mr. Feeny's "traditional wise old Santa" ornament, so Mr. Feeny replaced it with "this shiny red ball". This happened in "Santa's Little Helpers". In "City Slackers", Shawn does read Feeny's diary, but Mr. Feeny actually is glad he did! Why? Cory lost his watch down the drain, and it turns out his deceased wife had given it to them as an anniversary present. Shawn finds this out by reading Mr. Feeny's diary.

In the episode, "She Loves Me, She Loves Me Not", Topanga and Cory work on a school project together, while Topanga secretly has a crush on Eric. Topanga then mentions her sister, Nebby. Cory says, "Nebby? Don't you mean Debby?" Topanga replies, "No, Nebby. Nebula Stop The War Lawrence." When her sister picks Topanga up later on in the episode, we find out the sister is older. (Her sister is never seen or mentioned again. From here on, it is assumed that Topanga is an only child.)

Mr. Feeny does attempt to retire in Jackson Hole, Wisconsin, (but he hates retired life,) and Eric and Feeny go to Boston in one episode, but the show takes place in Philly. This is mentioned several times throughout the series. Oh, and Topanga's parents live in Pittsburgh from the episode entitled, "Long Walk to Pittsburgh (1)" and on.

The only two Valentine's Day episodes were in season 6, #129, "My Baby Valentine" where Topanga is more interested in helping Amy out with the last stages of her pregnancy than paying attention to Cory, (Amy goes into preterm labor at the end of this episode,) and in season 5, #104, "First Girlfriends Club". Finally, season 7, the last season, had "Family Trees", where Shawn finds out his real mother's a stripper.

Sure enough, Mr. Feeny is retiring, but they all have said goodbye. Amy has already told everyone she was pregnant in "Prom-ises, Prom-ises"- 2 episodes earlier. (The one with Cory and Topanga's prom.) Cory did want to be the one to ask, but sure enough Topanga asks him!
