In that special episode, Fran landed a weekly gig on the "Rosie O'Donnell Show" and C.C. became her agent; that quickly led to a lapse in Fran's duties as the nanny and forced her to reconsider the importance of her role to the children.

Fran thought that she might have finally found "the one": A handsome, successful Jewish doctor (Jon Stewart), but her "Mr. Right" actually turned out to be her cousin! The news threw Fran in such a tizzy that Maxwell insisted she go to therapy.

First Gracie, then Brighton, then Maggie, and then Fran came down with a case of lice, but when Maxwell didn't catch it, it prompted Fran to scold Maxwell for "not spending enough time with his own children." The "lice incident" was a continuing joke between Fran and the pharmacist in later episodes of the show.

With the success of winning 3 Tony Awards, Maxwell began bringing in better talent to star in his productions. "Baywatch" star Pamela Anderson appeared as Fran's nemesis, Heather Biblow. In this episode, Fran found out that Heather landed a role on Fran's favorite daytime soap opera, "The Young & The Restless". Fran and Val decide to head out to Malibu to see Heather, and the tables are turned when Fran ends up being offered Heather's role on the soap, and Heather ends up as the Sheffields' new nanny!

In this episode, Fran attemted to reunite Maxwell with his estranged father, James Sheffield. Maxwell still resented his father greatly because he had decided to leave Maxwell's mother for another woman: Joan the maid, played by "Dynasty" star Joan Collins.

Maxwell had a trip planned to London to sign Celine Dion as the star of his next big production, and after listening to Val's advice Fran decided to follow him there, hoping that a romantic London interlude would prompt Maxwell to commit. But just as the two of them began hashing out their romantic feelings for each other, both were called back to New York when Niles experiences a near-fatal heart attack; Celine Dion also made a cameo on the finale, a big highlight of that episode. If you watched the show regularly, you probably know that Maggie didn't have the pregnancy scare until the sixth and final season of "The Nanny".
