George is unsure about whether or not he likes Karen, but Jerry uses a simple test. If George is cleaning his apartment a lot before she comes over, including the bathtub, he loves her. According to Jerry and George, 'Tub is Lub'. George has one little problem with her, and it's 'below the equator'. When George wonders if Karen is 'faking', Elaine jumps into the conversation.

When Elaine says that she was good at 'faking', Jerry doubts that she could have pulled it off. Elaine then tells Jerry that nothing about their time together was real. Jerry and George start to get paranoid that everyone has 'faked it'.

When Jerry gets back to the apartment, Elaine calls and asks if he wants to go out for dinner. When he nearly turns the offer down, Elaine begins to suspect that the issue they talked about during lunch was a big problem. When she asks her co-worker about the issue, she basically says it's perfectly normal.

When Kramer bites into a peach in Jerry's apartment, he is disappointed because it tastes horrible. He decides to take the peach down to Joe's fruit store to get a refund, but he ends up getting banned from the store. Jerry warns Kramer that refunding fruit may be a bad idea, but Kramer does it anyways.

While at the restaurant, George notices that Karen is having a great time eating her risotto, and when he asks if she was satisfied, she says that she is an enigma. When he asks if she wants to go to his place, she says yes, but shakes her head when she thinks that George isn't looking.

When Elaine and Jerry are at a restaurant for dinner, Elaine suggests that they see the new Meryl Streep movie. Elaine says that she likes Meryl Streep because she's so authentic, and you can believe everything that actually happens to her. When Elaine continues to talk about actors, Jerry tells her to get off the topic, and she thinks that Jerry is still angry because of their conversation.

When Jerry tells her that everything is fine, he asks her to give him another shot. Elaine says that they can't or it will ruin their friendship.

Kramer is angry because he's banned from the fruit store, so he asks Jerry to buy the fruit since he can't go to the grocery store to buy them. When Jerry goes into the store, Joe keeps watching him and realizes that he's shopping for Kramer. Before Jerry can explain, Joe bans him from the store as well.
On Kramer's list, he also asks for mangoes. The plums that he asks for are the ones with the red on the inside.

When George does this for the first time, he carries a bunch of huge bags of fruit into Jerry's apartment. George tells Jerry that he has another date with Karen, and he says he doesn't know what to do because he had a problem with her on the previous date.

When Jerry and Elaine decide to stop being friends, they decide to give back each other's things. As Elaine leaves, she decides to give Jerry another shot in order to save the friendship. In the end, Jerry and Elaine are friends, but things don't go over too well. Meanwhile, George's girlfriend breaks up with him when he accuses her of 'faking'.
