Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Zach Morris has gotten a job in politics, what is it?

Answer: Governor

Morris (played by Mark-Paul Gosselaar) went from high school and college screw-up to the Governor or California. During the time between his last time on screen and the current iteration of the show. Due to that (and in reality him being on another series at the time this was filmed), he only appeared in three episodes of the first season.

As of the pilot for this series, Morris had been the governor for three years. He had run for governor after getting a $75 parking ticket and not wanting to pay it.
2. What school is the show set in?

Answer: Bayside

Bayside once again was host to the series. The school, though with slightly different sets, was the main setting for the original "Saved by the Bell" and "Saved by the Bell: The New Class" already.
3. What prank did Mack Morris pull in the opening scenes?

Answer: Flooded the gym

Mack Morris, played by Mitchell Hoog, is the son of Zack and Kelly from the original series. He was portrayed as a near clone of the character Zack was in the first series. Principal Ronald Toddman came running out of the gym, all wet asking if he'd flooded it again, after Morris had told some other students what he had done.
4. Who was the school counselor?

Answer: Dr. Jessica Spano

Jessica Spano, played by Elizabeth Berkley was a transplant from the original series as well. She became a doctor and a bestselling author in the time between college and the new series. One of her books was called "I'm so Excited" a reference to a song she sang in the original series.
5. Why were students from "poor" districts being bussed into the richer districts?

Answer: $10 billion was cut from school funding

Gov. Morris admitted he didn't know what he was doing, and that he just looked at what they'd done last year and copied it. This caused about half of the schools in California to be closed and caused many students to be bussed in from up to two hours away.
6. What school did Daisy and Aisha transfer in from?

Answer: Douglas High School

It was one of the poorest schools in California, and was a 2 hour school bus drive away from Bayside. Valley, while mentioned in the episode as the Bayside rival, was not otherwise part of the episode. The other two have no reference at all.
7. What restaurant did the students go to after school almost every day?

Answer: The Max

The Max, was a sit down restaurant near the campus of Bayside High School. Actor Ed Alonzo reprised his role from the original series to play the owner/waiter at the restaurant. The restaurant was completely remodeled from the original series, but done in the same color scheme.
8. What class was Daisy, Mack and Lexi running for president of?

Answer: Sophomore

The majority of the students in the regular cast ran for Sophomore Class President. Daisy won the election after Mack and Lexi tried to tank the election when they found out it had actual responsibilities with it.
9. Which transfer student tried out for the football team?

Answer: Aisha

Aisha was played by Alycia Pascual-Pena. She had been the best football player at Douglas High School, but had to be talked into trying out at Bayside as she tried to fit in with the rich students. After one practice she was shown to be one of the better players on the team.
10. Which transfer student tried out for the school musical?

Answer: Devante

Athletic Director A.C. Slater (Played by Mario Lopez) tried to get him to try out for the football team, but after learning he didn't want to, encouraged him to try out for anything that would make him happy. Devante was played by Dexter Darden.
