"Nobody's Perfect" was the first episode of season 3. It was also the first episode in colour and the first episode where the Murphy twins played Tabitha. Darrin found out that Tabitha was a witch in "The Moment of Truth", which is the second episode of the season.

In total, there have been 9 Tabithas over the years, but only 6 of them were twins. Heidi & Laura Gentry were the first set of twins. They played Tabitha in episode 54. Tamar & Julie Young played Tabitha from episode 55 to 74. Erin and Diane Murphy continued to play Tabitha from episode 75, until the show ended.

As well as the Gentry twins, in " And Something Makes Three", Cynthia Black also played Tabitha. The eighth Tabitha was played by Liberty Williams, in a spin off show called 'Tabatha' in 1976.

This show never took off. The final Tabitha was played by Lisa Hartman, in another spin off show called 'Tabitha' in 1977. This show was picked up for 12 episodes.

Tabitha started school in episode number 248, "Tabitha's First Day at School".

Tabitha was jealous of all the attention Samantha was giving the new baby, so Tabitha wished up her own Samantha who would pay attention to her only.

As the twins got older, it became more obvious that they weren't identical. Diane used to cry when she was on set, so Erin was used in more and more scenes.

This is a quote from Elizabeth Montgomery, explaining how the name 'Tabitha' was chosen.
"The name was my idea," she explained. "I loved it, because it was so old-fashioned. I got it from one of the daughters of Edward Andrews, the actor. The two Andrews girls are named Tabitha and Abigail. Bill was surprised that I remembered their names, after meeting them only once. Now, really, isn't that just like a man - as though anyone could forget names like Tabitha and Abigail!"

"Anyway, Tabitha is the name I picked for the daughter Dick York and I were supposed to have, when I was actually pregnant on the show, just like Lucy Ball was a few years before me, except that I had a son in real life when 'my time' came instead of a daughter. But, somehow or other, her name came out 'Tabatha' on the credit roll, and that's the way it's been ever since. Honestly, I shudder every time I see it. It's like a squeaky piece of chalk scratching on my nerves."

The wrist band the baby wore was supposed to say 'Stephens, Girl' but Endora changed it to say 'Tabitha Stephens'. Endora didn't care what Samantha and Darrin called their baby, but she was going to call the baby Tabitha. By the end of the episode, Samantha and Darrin agreed.

Tabitha's friend, Amy, wanted to be the butterfly but the teacher said she had to be the toad because she spilled her juice. Amy was very upset, so Tabitha twitched her nose and turned Amy into a butterfly.
