Answer: Beany and Cecil

"Beany and Cecil" ran from January 6, 1962 - June 28, 1969. The propeller on Beany Boy's cap allowed him to fly. The cap was called a Beanycopter and it became a popularly marketed novelty toy.

Answer: Tennessee Tuxedo and His Tales

"Tennessee Tuxedo and His Tales" aired on CBS from 1963 to 1966. Tennessee Tuxedo the penguin was voiced by Don Adams, who also played Maxwell Smart on the TV show "Get Smart".

Answer: Magilla Gorilla

"Magilla Gorilla" aired from 1964 to 1967. The only person who actually wanted Magilla as a pet was a little girl named Ogee (Oh Gee). Everyone else only wanted to use him as a stooge to break into a bank, use him to steal heavy objects, or use him for other criminal activities. He always ended up back at Peeble's Pet Store at the end of every episode.

"Mr. Magoo" was created by the UPA animation studio in 1949. The voice of Quincy Magoo is Jim Backus', who also played Thurston Howell III, on the 1960s sitcom "Gilligan's Island".

"Peter Potamus" was produced by Hanna-Barbera and first aired on September 16, 1964. The show was actually in three segment. One with Peter Potamus and So So, one about a polar bear named Breezly Bruin and his droopy friend Sneezly the Seal, and another about three dogs named Yippee, Yappee, and Yahooey that work as guards for their unnamed king.

Answer: The Huckleberry Hound Show

In 1960, "The Huckleberry Hound Show" won an Emmy for Outstanding Achievement in the Field of Children's Programming. Huck's trademark song was "Oh My Darling, Clementine", which he sang out of key. He would sing it in every episode.

"Quick Draw McGraw" ran between 1959 and 1962. In some of the episodes, the situation called for Quick Draw to change into his alter ego El Kabong. El Kabong was a Zorro-like character who wore a mask and cape and would usually enter the scene swinging on a rope. Instead of carrying a whip, he carried a guitar to whack his opponent on the top of the head.

"Archie" first appeared in in comic book form on December 22, 1941. In 1968, the animated "Archie Show" began airing on CBS. Each episode contained a musical number preformed by the band called The Archies. Ron Dante of the musical group The Cuff Links sang the actual lead vocals for the fictional bands hits that included "Sugar, Sugar", "Jingle Jangle", and "Bang-Shang-A-Lang".

Answer: Batfink

"Batfink" is an animated television series that first aired in April 1966. Batfink's defensive weapons are his wings of steel that protect him from bullets and explosions. Batfink's sidekick Karate, is a dim-witted mixture of the characters Kato from the "Green Hornet", and Odd Job from the James Bond movie "Goldfinger". Karate drives the 'Battillac' and carries a wide variety of objects and gadgets in his "utility sleeve".
