In "A Quality of Mercy", Stockwell portrayed a lieutenant for both the Americans and the Japanese. Most sci fi fans recognize Stockwell for his role as Admiral Al Calavicci on "Quantum Leap". Later in his career, he also had a role in the new version of "Battlestar Galactica".

Ebsen's character in this episode was Jimbo Cobb. A good honest man who has psychokinetic powers. Ebsen is also well known for being the main star of "Barnaby Jones" in the 1970s. He was originally slated to play the Tin Man in "The Wizard of Oz" but had to bow out due to health problems.

Bill Bixby had a long distinguished television career. In addition to "The Incredible Hulk" he had starring roles on "My Favorite Martian" and "The Courtship of Eddie's Father".
